Hallam’s Hut Rural Retreat

Our fully self-contained rural retreat cottage is the perfect escape for couples or solo travellers. Tastefully decorated and equipped with modern amenities, it offers comfort and charm in a peaceful countryside setting. Relax by the outdoor fireplace or unwind on the porch with a glass of wine.

Clare & Ben live on the same property, approximately 350 metres away, and are available to assist during your stay.

During your visit, we’re usually somewhere on the property working. We may stop by to say hello if we haven’t met you yet, or we’re happy to respect your privacy if preferred. We are always just a phone call or message away if needed.

Upon request, we can provide a welcome breakfast basket including milk, tea, coffee, fresh farm eggs, bacon, bread, and cereals. Please confirm this when booking.

Our accommodation includes a small self-contained kitchen with a bar fridge, utensils, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, and small convection oven with cooktop. There are also outdoor BBQ facilities, covered dining, and a campfire area.
Please note: no laundry facilities are provided. Supplies can be purchased in nearby towns – Lockhart (33 km), Henty (40 km), The Rock (46 km), or Corowa (77 km).

In the cooler months, warm yourself by the campfire and unwind in our woodfire-heated hot tub, offering breathtaking views over the picturesque countryside. Perfect for a relaxing evening under the stars, the hot tub takes approximately 2½ hours to heat. Some firewood is provided, with additional wood available for purchase if needed.

The fire pit and hot tub are not available during state-declared total fire ban periods. Please check with us prior to use.

In the warmer months (November to mid-March), and by prior arrangement, guests are welcome to cool off in our nearby homestead’s saltwater in-ground pool. Please note this is located at the rear of our private residence.

We are located on a working rural property with animals and natural bushland. Hazards may exist, so please take care and leave all gates as you find them.

We are approximately a 1-hour drive to Wagga Wagga, Albury, and the Rutherglen wine region.
