Situated midway on the Great Ocean Road and located in the Otway National Park, our cottages are central to all the sights of this magnificent stretch of coast and the magic of the rainforest and waterfalls of the Otway National Park.

Our one-bedroom fully self-contained cottage caters ideally for a couple. (ask about twin share which is possible - poa)

Guests are welcome to explore the 280-acre farm, meet the friendly farm animals, pick fruit and herbs from the orchard and fresh salad and berries (seasonal) from the guests produce garden. Collect eggs from the chickens or explore fern gullies and bushwalk along the river. Torchlight walks under big starry skies to view the glow worms in the fern gully. OR simply relax by the warmth of the wood fire - taking in the farm and ocean views from the comfort of your fully self contained cottage.
If guests like, we can meet and do a farm tour, sharing local touring information, etc. Farm tours are by appointment and we observe social distancing recommendations.
Extra information and a map on exploring the farm, how and when to meet and feed the friendly farm animals, information on the guests share garden, orchard and fern gully walk is supplied to guests.
We live on-site, so are on hand if you need assistance. We have installed satellite internet - so there is WiFi (low bandwidth) - if you need to - contact us and we will respond asap. Note: mobile phone reception is sketchy in the region and on the farm.

Central to a range of attractions within an easy scenic drive. The Otway Fly Tree Top walk, waterfalls and fern gullies of the cool temperate rain forest, and the glow-worms at Melba Gully are a great night time attraction. Johanna beach is just down the road (4kms).

Pets are very welcome too - by prior arrangement - Conditions apply. We provide inside bedding, doggy towels, feed bowls, information on local pet friendly places to visit, and the cottage has a yard. We ask that pets are supervised at all times during your stay and never left on the property or in the cottage unsupervised. Please do not allow pets in the bedroom (carpeted area). Keep the lead on when exploring the farm - but ask us about 'off lead' areas for well behaved canines (the river walk & ferngully).

Based on a number of nights, type, a number of people. Eg. Nightly tariff for 3 or more nights is less than nightly tariff for a two-night stay. Please enquire for an accurate rate and Special Deals/special nightly tariff on longer stays.

We have 4 cottages on our property - So if you have a larger group, extra people can be accommodated in other cottages (poa).
Minimum 3 night stays for public holiday weekends (Aust Day/Labour Day/Queens BDay/AFL grand final weekend) apply. A four-night minimum stay applies to the Easter public holiday period. A 7-night stay applies over the Christmas and New Year period. However, it's worth an enquiry as gaps often appear between bookings.

Central to all the highlights of the Great Ocean Road & the Great Otway National Park. Johanna Beach, a step on & step off point for the Great Ocean Walk, is just 4 km down the road.

My partner and I spent our anniversary here for four unforgettable nights, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The stunning mountain views during the day and the breathtaking star-f...illed skies at night made our stay truly special. The farm animals were incredibly friendly and well-behaved, especially with one another. When we first arrived, the dogs came straight over to welcome us at our cabin, which was such a heartwarming moment. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be planning another visit in the future!

This was the perfect getaway for some much needed R&R! As we are introverts we thoroughly enjoyed burrowing down in the cosy cottage and taking in the scenery, some bird watching and especially loved ...seeing storms roll in and out across the landscape. We enjoyed a short drive down to Johanna Beach with the pups for a brisk walk and took in the stunning views.

We also enjoyed the lovely surrounds on the property, taking full advantage of the herb garden for our dinner and taking the pups through the Forest orchard trail. The pups thoroughly enjoyed napping by the wood fireplace in the lounge.

The cottage was well equipped and we only had to bring provisions for meals. The queen bed was extremely comfortable and we slept soundly through the stormy nights.

All around it was a very enjoyable trip away surrounded by nature. Helen and Julian were great hosts, making sure the cottage was toasty and warm before we arrived.

What a beautiful part of Victoria to go & explore. We had the most wonderful stay with Helen & Julian & their animals in a beautiful location. The cottage was exceptionally clean & we had everything t...hat you could ever need in the lovely accommodation.
The stay had their own koalas & glow worms & the beautiful Johanna Beach just down the road, so everything in close proximity, no need to travel far to sight see. Not to mention the lovely view from our deck and all of the wildlife, so many birds, to listen to. It was very peaceful & lovely and relaxing.
10/10 for our stay. 😍

Johanna Beach At Sunrise

Johanna Beach is only a 5 minute drive from the farm and sits halfway between Apollo Bay and the 12 Apostles. We headed down to this peaceful, quiet and picturesque beach to enjoy a walk at sunrise. The perfect start to our morning.

Surfing

Experience some of the best surf in Victoria for advanced riders along the Great Ocean Road. From Bird Rock, the world-renowned Bells Beach, Winki Pop, Centreside, Johanna or Cathedral Rock. Along the coast, between Lorne and Apollo Bay, there are good surf spots at Cumberland River, Wye River, Baldy Rock, Skene's Creek, Sawmills and Kennett River.
