Sunday House is an ode to the most relaxing day of the week and a tip of the hat to this ex-Sunday School. This stylish 1865 architecturally converted Welsh Baptist church is slick, luxury holiday rental at its finest - right in the heart of Maldon’s historic township.

Heritage listed and meticulously renovated, there are wood-lined loft ceilings, black strapped beams and 3 metre high arched windows looking out over Maldon's stunning streetscapes. Within this magnificent leafy space, the living area has a 10 seater formal dining table, huge fireplace, large comfy lounge, smart TV, Sonos speaker system, pool table, games, office and library nook.

Sleeping 8, Sunday House has 3 queen bedrooms, 1 master king room and 2 bathrooms with large glass walk-in showers, hairdryers and organic Castile soap. Each of the bedrooms have been designed for absolute comfort and are complemented with contemporary art.

4 guest minimum preferred: Due to the size of Sunday House, it is preferred that bookings are set with a minimum of 4 guests. We appreciate your understanding.

The well appointed chef’s kitchen, has every appliance needed to whip up a spectacular meal. Dine in the formal dining room or enjoy a more relaxed meal at the large sunny, rustic kitchen table. To further soak in the surrounds, simply open the double french doors to the large deck and sprawling entertainers yard.

Outside you can enjoy a shady dining space, gas BBQ, fireplace/pizza oven and large lawn. We LOVE dogs - so Sunday House is pet friendly, with secure fencing. Well behaved ‘Gooood boooys & giiiiirrllls’ only! A $50 pet fee payable on arrival is required.

The owners, an artist and an ex-hotelier have spent years dreaming up this space. They have created a delicious feast for the eyes and mind, which is too good not to share. The house features a curated collection of art by renowned and up-and-coming Melbourne print-makers and artists. (With an onsite Print Makers Studio, coming soon!)

There are multiple places to just ‘be’ at Sunday House - It's perfect for a getaway with friends or family, boutique occasions or a more structured retreat. With a decked out office and extensive library, you can also steal time and stay a little longer to write, work or create.
