CARAVAN DETAILS
A path will guide you from the driveway and toilet/shower block, down to the Cactus Re-Treat:
- Queen bed
- Small single beds x 2
- Linen provided (towels & bedding)
- Outdoor gas hot water shower (limit up to 5mins)
- Eco shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided (& must be used as run-off falls to the earth)
- Compost toilet
- Board/card games
- Small indoor fireplace (wood provided)
- Fire extinguisher, Fire Blanket & Smoke Alarm
Basic kitchen; fine for preparing light meals, but not a full kitchen. For main meals we recommend Cooking outside on the gas Weber or open fire or checking out the variety of restaurants & cafes in town.
Kitchen basics include:
- Sink/small bench top
- Small gas fridge
- Gas camping cooktop & gas bottle
- Large & medium pot (located in cupboards under sink ; suitable for use on outdoor fire or gas camping cooktop)
- Plates/bowls/cutlery/glasses/cups/cooking utensils
- Weber gas BBQ for Cooking

- Outdoor fire pit for Cooking (weather permitting). Fire cooking utensils located on top of fridge (some wood provided, guests can purchase additional wood from supermarket IGA, hardware or servo Freshwater Creek)

- 2 night minimum & 3 nights peak summer
- Access to telephone signals is limited to 1 3G/4G bar, no wifi access so BYO WIFI
- 12V power to charge portable speaker/phone
- Drive at walking pace. Our friendly dog Eddie will round up your car. Pls do not feed Eddie.
- Property is on tank water. We strictly ask that showers are limited to up to 5mins.
- In fire season, you will need to download Vic Emergency App.

Budget accommodation in a quiet spot with friendly hosts and wildlife. The fire pit is a good place to chill and the bed was comfortable.

Purposefully lo-fi rustic & creative abodes in beautiful bush setting to allow you to slow down, re-treat & reconnect to nature & with yourself. We live on 12 acres of beautiful bush 8km from Bells Beach. We love the surrounds and invite you to join us in respecting nature. We live in a little mud-brick house on the property and live life normally during your stay. The property is set on 12 acres and while each area is private enough, you could expect to see us at least once during your stay and we also offer other accommodation on-site. If we are around, we will greet you and show you around and if we are not, then we invite you to make yourself at home in your abode, settle into nature and relax. Our kelpie-cross Eddie will not doubt meet you at the drive-way and guide you in at slow walking difference as he rounds up your vehicle - don’t mind him, he does this daily, however pls be aware of him. Eddie is friendly and very respectful and we do ask that you do not feed him. We do supply written instructions for all that you should need during your stay to make your experience hassle free. We remain available during your stay should you need to contact us and if we are physically not here, then you can reach us via text. In fire season, then we do request that you download Vic Emergency App and set the zone to 20km of our address. In severe circumstances and very rare fire danger occasions, we do ask to remain in text contact for our combined safety. On Code Red fire danger days we will refund your Stay.
