We had the most amazing time at Lynda’s house. We have stayed in other properties she owns before and The Estate Trentham certainly didn’t disappoint. An absolute style goddess, the house was meticulo...usly styled and beautifully presented providing plenty of Inspiration once again. Everything is well considered with plenty of supplies, reading material and kitchen equipment. Stunning garden and loads of parking.
Just a short walk to town and right next door to the rail trail; we had a fabulous bike ride into Lyonville and back - about 14 km round trip.
We highly recommend The Estate Trentham and already planning our next trip.

I am an interior decorator/designer based in Melbourne Austraila as well as running 3 boutique accommodation houses in Daylesford and Trentham in the countryside, I also have an art-deco 1920s apartment in St Kilda and one studio space I rent out in Fitzroy North.
I love to travel and do so every single year. Being an interior decorator I love to stay in stylish/cool places, such designer hotels but I also love private homes or apartments where it feels as though a friend has invited you to stay and explore the city!
I look forward to having you stay and to have a wonderful experience at Room + Board and make the most of your gorgeous space and location.

A Picnic In The Gardens At The Estate Trentham
We had a lovely little picnic in the gardens of the Estate Trentham. It was too pretty not to sit outside! The harvest garden has fresh herbs, leaves and vegetables for you to pick during your stay at the Estate. To be surrounded by the lovely trees and a bed of autumn leaves was just magical.

Brekky At Redbeard Bakery
At RedBeard – a historic bakery in Trentham town – they bake organic, authentic sourdough in a 19th-century wood-fired Scotch oven. Try the sausage rolls too, so crispy and freshly baked.
Dinner At Trentham General
Trentham General has a locals' night and is open for dinner every Thursday. We recommend calling prior to book your spot. We had a romantic dinner for two by the fire, with the chicken liver parfait with red onion jam as an entree, and the apple rhubarb and coconut crumble for dessert – both were divine.

Trentham Falls
Discover the beautiful and lush Trentham Falls, Victoria's highest single-drop waterfall. The falls were formed some five million years ago by molten lava rapidly cooling as it flowed along the old Coliban River valley. Trentham waterfall cascades 32 metres onto the quartz gravel below. Located in the Wombat State Forest, this natural wonder is particularly enchanting in winter when every moss covered rock and fern glistens with water.
Trentham Falls
It was a scenic drive to beautiful Trentham Falls, which was surrounded by a lush landscape. The viewing area was an easy short walk from the car park. At the time of writing, there was no access to the base of the falls due to unstable cliffs, but it was still a gorgeous view and well worth checking out.

Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens
A slow walk through the Botanic garden and Wombat hill.
Lunch At Cliffys Daylesford
Cliffy's is the perfect brunch spot in Daylesford. Their philosophy is ‘We support the producers’ and you’ll find timber shelves full of gorgeous local produce and preserves, perfect for gifting too. We sat under the verandah and grapevines, sipped on coffee and chai, and really enjoyed the laksa eggs – a must-try!
