Lovely comfortable cottage, with great garden and space. Easy to stroll around town from the cottage or take a scenic drive to surrounding towns. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Wet, rainy weekend which was perfect for laying low and staying warm in front of the fire with books and treats from the Maldon bakery. Looking forward to coming back to discover more of Maldon. Appreciated that Jamie had it all set up with heaters on for our arrival - felt very welcome!

Rock Of Ages
Rock of Ages is one such attraction that is not to be missed. This spectacular rocky outcrop is located on Mount Mooral, overlooking the Maldon township.
Maldon To Castlemaine Trail
This trail starts in Castlemaine and runs parallel to the Victorian Goldfields Tourist Train line to Maldon via Muckleford and is 18km long. The rail trail is mainly on the maintenance track beside the railway line so is more undulating than a rail trail.
Maldon Diggings National Heritage Park
Maldon has retained an authentic pioneer-like appearance with history of the gold-mining era being preserved. The township and surrounding forests abound with remnants of the gold mining past, beautiful seasonal wildflowers and comfortable historic and scenic walking trails.
Castlemaine To Maldon Trail
This trail begins in Castlemaine and runs beside the Victorian Goldfields Tourist Train line to Maldon via Muckleford and is 18km long. The trail is mostly surrounded by open dry forest, with some views of rolling hills and farms.
Mt Tarrengower Trails And Lookout
From the Mount Terrengower Lookout there is a great view of Cairn Curran, The Grampians, Mt Alexander, Big Hill, Mt Macedon, Maldon, Pyramid Hill, Mt Franklin, Loddon Valley and more.
The Cascades
At The Cascades, just to the west of the village of Metcalfe, the Coliban River flows over and among huge granite boulders and outcrops, creating many rock pools, small and large. The place is popular all year round for walks, picnics and swimming.
