Additional Information
We LOVE and cater to down-to-earth nature lovers! And are so setup for relatively risk free doggy (and cat) experiences. It does require the participation of guests who are choosing to holiday 'with' their dogs - so please note the cottage is not suitable to act as a pet sitter for any dogs who may need them.
When you book you will be provided with a welcome and hike pack with the best suggestions and recommendations we have.
COTTAGE DETAILS
Fully stocked kitchen with Tefal cookware and all the mod cons required for you to BYO preferred food. Self contained accommodation (i.e. empty fridge for your preferences but plenty of cooking provisions like oils and salts for you to eat in and stock your gorgeous Hepburn finds).
Fully fenced backyard for peace of mind. It contains a spirited maremma.
Expect nature, birds, travelling echidnas, kangaroos and quiet. The place is 100% yours with no interruptions, self check in and thoughtful canningvale linen.
The cottage is made for couples, singles, friend groups to a maximum or four or small family - with or without furry friends. You will love being 10 mins walk to Main St 'yet' also being so secluded.
It's super quiet and borders a forest on both sides. With this sort of nature, the trees may rustle, it gets very dark, kangaroos are all around, there's the occasional rattle to anchor down in weather.
Majority floating or steel legged furniture, dog beds, mutiple bed configuration options and mounted Smart TV with Netflix and chromecast.
And did we mention the floating workspace, wood fireplace, fast NBN and reusable pod latissimo? The ducted and split are used extensively as the main source of heating in the cottage so firewood provision is approx 10kg. Beyond this we conveniently store bags of 20kg local redgum for $20 purchase in the barn during the very cold winter times (honesty box onsite).
GUEST ACCESS
The whole home is yours and setup purely for boutique accommodation. Bedrooms not in use for your stay will be closed off for cleaning and dog purposes.
There is one bathroom with full bath and large shower, plus a separate toilet (1 toilet in the house).
NOTE
You may end up wanting to stay forever. You have been warned! Firepit is away during the fire danger period as there is no safe proximity at the cottage. No open air fires during this period.
Doggies
- Up to two dog beds and 2 fleece blankets for pet bed/couch use per dog (up to 2 dogs and cats BYO provisions).
- water and food bowls for up to 2
- Homemade liver treats on arrival
- One bedroom of complimentary dog friendly linen if requested
POOCH INFORMATION
All house trained dogs welcome and fully welcome inside. Very sedentary or crated dogs can be left inside for periods.
* No areas or rooms of the cottage are suitable to act 'as crates' for your dogs if you go out (this means for dogs who need crates or supervision, you must bring hard crates or someone must stay home with them).
* Non digestable items such as bones/busted stuffed toys/many rawhide items - leave them at home or its expected every single piece is picked up from house and garden upon leaving (seriously dangerous for other dogs).
* Dogs permitted on beds if arranged prior (see below) and fully pee free (no exceptions here, no possible peeing puppies).
* It's expected that guests clean up after their dogs upon checkout.
On request we provide one fully complimentary (free) bedroom of dog friendly linen and a second upon request for $60. Please note these are just for humans - I do not make full beds/bedrooms up for dogs on their own, exception being if you pay for them as guests in your guest count.
PET NOTE
2 pets accepted. If looking to bring more, please message and ask for the pet checklist so you can ensure any needs on checkout are understood and can be completed with a large group of animals on holiday.

We had a lovely and very comfortable stay in spring creek cottage! It was very cosy with everything we needed, and incredibly pet friendly. A very quiet spot, not far from town with lots of walking tracks nearby. We hope to be back!

Dog lover, nature lover and local! My loves are my finnish lapphund (Mika) and Maremma (Mana). I get the idiosyncracies and needs of doggies and how to create a space that makes it easy for responsible pet owners to bring your furry friends along. ALL sizes and shapes. I love sustainable and eco friendly furniture and create as much of my spaces as possible with salvaged and reclaimed pieces. I'm a local and just love to create your personalised stay.

Here are some details about the adventures nearby. Refer to the map for their location.
Goldfields Track
The Goldfields track goes for almost 100km from the back gate.
One to Jacksons Lookout, another to the Hepburn Springs Mineral reserve. Another route will see you following red stars and popping out at the sacred aboriginal site comprising the Old Hepburn Pool. An 18km return takes you to the Blowhole

Hepburn Springs Pine Forest
About 10 minutes down the trail from the cottage you'll come across a small Pine Forest. It's striking amongst the surrounding gum tree filled bush.
Dry Diggings Track Goldfields Track
Running from The Goldfields Track is 210km in length and passes through some of central Victoria's most historic towns and beautiful forests. One of the most interesting sections of the trail is the Dry Diggings Track from Daylesford to Castlemaine. It's still nearly 50km in length so we walked different sections of this over our stay. Highlights include the Blowhole, granite boulders, remnants of old mine sites and lots of wide-open space and time in nature.
Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens
These gardens started back in 1860, when the new Borough of Daylesford wanted to create its Botanic Garden and asked the Government for a piece of the paddock at the Goldfields Government Camp, situated on the top of Wombat Hill. Today they are a beautiful and peaceful place to take a stroll. We can also recommend grabbing a bite to eat at Wombat Hill House. Dog-friendly.
Lake Daylesford Central Lake Reserve
Daylesford Macedon region is home to 85% of Australia’s natural mineral springs. At Lake Daylesford you can take a scenic 3km walk around the lake. Or extend your walk by heading out as far as you would like along the Dry Diggings track to the Central Springs Mineral Reserve and beyond! Dog-friendly.
