A Perfect Farmstay Meets Modern Luxury
Fellcroft Farmstay exceeded every expectation. Veronica, our host, was warm, kind and genuinely fun to be around — she gave us a thorough walk-through on arriva...l and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.
The property itself is stunning, tucked against the Macedon Ranges with beautiful surrounding views. From outside, it looks like a beautiful farm stay. But it’s stepping inside where it truly surprises you — despite being a farm stay, every little detail has been thoughtfully considered, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. A spacious lounge with lovely lighting, and a kitchenette generously stocked with complimentary food items — such a thoughtful and generous touch from the host. One unique highlight: an old farm storage cabinet, once used to store meat & supplies, has been beautifully repurposed into a TV cabinet — open the netted door and there’s an LCD TV inside. Such a clever, characterful touch.
The bedroom lighting made the space feel warm and inviting, and the bathroom was easily one of the best we’ve experienced — a jacuzzi bathtub with sweeping views of grazing sheep and rolling hills, plus heated flooring for that extra touch of luxury (something we’ve never experienced anywhere before).
Sitting outside with a coffee during golden hour, listening to birdsong and sheep in the distance, is an experience we’ll never forget.
Veronica herself is a retired nurse from a long line of farming family, and her hospitality reflects that same care and warmth. If you love the charm of farm life without giving up comfort, Fellcroft is exactly that — beautifully balanced.
Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful, rejuvenating countryside escape.

We absolutely loved our stay at Fellcroft. Veronica has so much knowledge of the area and things to do. The farmstay was beautiful with so much attention to detail. Would recommend and will visit again!

Six generations of the Crozier family have been farming at the foothills of the Cobaw State Forest, in the Macedon Ranges since 1862.
The original Crozier homestead was built in 1862 by Andrew and Mary Crozier. The homestead can still be seen from both quarters.
Fellcroft has been a continuously working farm since 1862. Today Fellcroft is engaged in the ethical production of premium lamb and beef.
Best practice, sustainable land management and ethical animal husbandry are at the core of everything we do.
Indeed we see ourselves as the caretakers of this special place and are delighted to be sharing it with you for the first time in our history.
The accommodation programme started in 2018. From the beginning it was important we crafted buildings that were comfortable for our guests but also allowed for minimal aesthetic impact on the landscape, hence the “shearers quarters” aesthetic was born.
This has been central to the design process and has allowed us to use mostly recycled materials throughout the project that have largely been sourced from the farm.

Hiking
Take on part of the 30km circuit hike, which links the Camels Hump and Mount Towrong with the mountain villages of Mount Macedon and Macedon.
Sanatorium Lake
The Lake is a beautiful spot for walking and horse-riding trails. Swimming is not permitted in the lake. The best time of year to explore this area is in spring and summer. Head off on the 2.5km easy walk which passes through several different landscapes including tall eucalypt forests and a lush fern gully.
Trentham Falls
Discover the beautiful and lush Trentham Falls, Victoria's highest single-drop waterfall. The falls were formed some five million years ago by molten lava rapidly cooling as it flowed along the old Coliban River valley. Trentham waterfall cascades 32 metres onto the quartz gravel below. Located in the Wombat State Forest, this natural wonder is particularly enchanting in winter when every moss covered rock and fern glistens with water.
The Trentham Falls Reserve, located on the Great Dividing Range is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic by the river. There are great facilities, including picnic tables, barbecues and toilets nearby.
