Open up the house on warm summer days to the ocean breeze (please note Sommarhus has NO air conditioning), whilst on the cooler days enjoy a book on the cosy couches, tunes on the record player, games or Netflix beside the gas log fire. Or perhaps relax on the sunny back deck which is our favourite spot to dine, enjoy a G + T, pull out the yoga mat or to simply just chill.

Fully self contained with carport for two cars. The kitchen has been decorated for those who love preparing good food + is well set up with good quality equipment + utensils including a Nespresso coffee machine with Urban Brew biodegradable pods. We stock a basic pantry + the garden is full of fresh herbs + fruit trees. There is a BBQ that you are welcome to use.

A maximum of 4 guests can comfortably enjoy Sommarhus (including infants). Beds are made up using cosy and luxurious MicroCloud bedding and French flax linen. Guests can choose from 2 x Queen rooms OR 1 x Queen room + 1 x twin single room.

Spacious bathroom with bath and shower (toilet is NOT separate). An additional outdoor hot + cold shower (private + sheltered) is a great addition to wash away the salt + sand or to just enjoy under the stars.

From time to time we have chooks in the coop + a couple of fish that we’d love you to look after whilst you are staying too. We welcome your pet to come stay on request as we’ve a large fully fenced yard with a sun drenched back deck with an adjoining laundry where they can snooze.

GUEST ACCESS

The whole house and garden is all yours to enjoy. The house sleeps 4 and we DO NOT accept additional guests.

There is 2 vintage style bikes + one kids bike (aged 4-5) with baskets + helmets in the carport that you are welcome to use.

A NOTE ON LOCATION

Please note we are not smack bang in the middle of town so please consider this when booking. We are an easy walk or flat bike ride and rarely drive anywhere when staying, just the way we like it.

We are located in a lovely quiet area of Port Fairy, on a Norfolk Pine lined street close to the Showgrounds. We are 1.5km to East Beach (patrolled beach) and a 1.3 km (15 minutes maximum) leisurely stroll to Sackville Street (shops, cafes etc).

T + C’s

We expect that guests will treat Sommarhus as they would treat their own property + possessions. This includes leaving our home in the same CLEAN and TIDY condition that we will leave it for you to enjoy.

We don't charge an additional fee for cleaning but leave a straight forward checkout list including stripping used beds + putting out any rubbish. Please make sure you familiarise yourself with this. If this is something you do not envisage yourself doing, our house is probably not for you - Sommarhus is not a hotel, it's our home that we’ve put a lot of love, care and attention into.

If additional beds have been used to what has been requested a $30/night fee will be charged after check out. We offer the use of 2 x Queen rooms OR 1 x Queen room + 1 x twin single room.

We have a strict policy of accommodating a maximum of 4 guests ONLY as any more is just too many for our little house and will lessen your experience. This is including infants and we ask that guests please respect this.

PETS: maybe accepted on request only at the time of booking (otherwise we will not know to leave the garden secure for your pet). Well behaved dogs only. Limited to ONE pet only. We have very loved chooks that maybe of interest to your dog so please consider this when deciding to bring your pet! We prefer outside pets but if they do wander inside, please keep them off all furniture and beds. We request to please just tidy up after your little buddy so it’s like they’ve never stayed.

Any damages must be declared and paid for.
