What an amazing little spot, we had a great weekend and will definitely be back for longer. The cabin is well equiped and the open fire place kept the place warm overnight. A great place to explore th...e drip walk from. We were lucky enough to see a Wedge-Tailed Eagle and some Emu's. The kids loved exploring the river.

The cottage was so lovely! A truly fascinating and beautiful building. Loved taking it easy here - exploring up and down the river, reading in the sun room, watching sunrise from bed... We also apprec...iated listening to, as well as watching, the huge variety of bird life around the cottage. Also saw an antechinus and kangaroos about.
All the comforts and amenities were included - cooking utensils, gas BBQ was great, powerpoint to charge (not that we ever looked at our phones while we were there), plenty of hot water for a bath etc.
Everything had a remarkable sense of peace and it was just perfect getting away from the city.

Our stay at Saddlers cottage exceeded our expectations...and then some!
Our family consists of mum, dad, daughter (10yrs)and pup Ella.
The cottage itself so full of charm, beauty and unique touches. T...he raw natural bushland surrounds giving the feeling of seclusion, allowing for total unwind and peace.
We especially loved being able to bring along our pup Ella, exploring the river together as a family has created everlasting memories for us all.
Booking was done with ease. Hosts Julia and Colin informed us of everything we needed to know and allowed us total privacy to enjoy and explore at our will.
We loved our stay so much we are already planning our next visit in the coming weeks.

We live on the property called Gleniston and built the two stone cottages for our guests in secluded settings. We manage the mainly forested property 220 hectares as a wildlife refuge. I work in natural resource management and have a PhD in hydro-geology. My husband Colin is a furniture maker/craftsman. We love cooking, good food and wine, bush walking and natural areas. We like to share the experience of this special part of the world and make all our guests feel welcome.
