Nestled beneath the 600 metre peak of Mount Prince Charlie in the Barrington River valley near Gloucester is Riverview Cottage. Located on the high banks above The Steps rapids, this splendid bushland location offers you an escape to unspoilt river vistas and friendly wildlife.

The riverside location offers year-round appeal with plenty of options for outdoor activities: swimming, paddling, walking, mountain biking, abseiling or just relaxing on the covered deck. Air conditioning (in the main house) allows year-round comfort whilst in the cooler months you'll love the slow combustion fireplace.... settle down in front of the glowing fireplace with your cosy socks and a glass or two of your favourite wine, you won’t need an excuse to relax.

Riverview Cottage is a self-contained holiday home near Gloucester that can sleep up to 8 people in contemporary comfort. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom, an open plan living area with slow combustion fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. Bed linen, blankets, doonas, bath towels and firewood are included in the tariff.

For relaxed al fresco meals, the covered deck overlooking the river is perfect for your outdoor entertaining, complete with table setting and barbecue ready for your long lunch. WiFi and TV gives you some technological comforts of home, however don’t forget to turn off and tune in to the local wildlife and beautiful surroundings for something new.

​If you intend swimming in the river or at the Olympic pool in Gloucester, kindly bring your own beach towels.

Please note no pets are allowed due to the close proximity of wildlife.
