We recently stayed at Harvest Cottage for a long weekend and it was lovely. As soon as we drove through the beautiful gardens, we both started to feel the stress from work start to fall away! The litt...le cottage is tucked away in a private section of the gardens, which makes you feel like you're the only ones around. Catherine, the host was very welcoming, but also allowed us our space to make the place our own for the few days. The surprise fresh bread, butter and jam were delicious! Cosy and snug, without making you feel like you're ontop of eachother, the cottage has such a peaceful feel about it. With a well equipped kitchen space, I cooked all of our favourites, and we didn't even need to go out for dinner! We lit the fire and sat back with a book in hand and a glass of wine, what more could one need! One night we enjoyed a beautiful bath out on the deck, with some very curious sheep watching from the adjacent paddock! Only a 20nmin drive to Daylesford, we spent one afternoon exploring the shops and lake, and then onto Hepburn Springs for a short wander around the Spring's source, and read about the the its history. Another day we drove about 25min to Lal Lal Falls Reserve, and walked the 3 Falls track. It was about 5km return, an easy stroll across the top of the Gully. We got off track a bit and found Granite Falls, which was a bit off fun after reading that plenty before us had tried and failed!
Overall, we had an amazing weekend, and would definitely come back some time for another stay at Harvest Cottage, Thanks Catherine 😊

Big hearts for this gorgeous cottage! We had such a relaxing, comfortable stay. We had everything we needed. Loved the garden space and the morning art workshop with Cath too. The fresh bread and homemade jam was a beautiful added touch of care factor for the guest experience. We'll be back!

Flower Painting Workshop
The host Cath runs flower painting workshops at her home studio. We learnt a lot about colour mixing and brush techniques. Such a wholesome morning to have on a rainy day.
Please note friends, this experience is an extra charge. Chat with Cath if you would to know more info. Totally worth the extra dollar bucks in my eyes!

St Georges Lake Loop
Starting at St Georges Lake, you will loop all around the gorgeous lake and find yourself to cross a road to the Blue Waters Lookout.
Swimming At St Georges Lake
We spent the afternoon laying in the sun and floating around the lake, which is surrounded by forest and the best local secret for a swim!
Blue Waters
We stumbled on this gem called Blue Waters, a sort of hidden spot away from the main attractions. When the sun hits it in a certain way, the water lights up in an epic bright blue colour.
Stroll Along La Gerche Walking Trail
An easy walk through trees planted in the 1880s as a way to rehabilitate the damage after mining.
Fancy Bakery Great Coffee
French inspired bakery right in the Main Street of Creswick. Loads of sweet treats, breads and awesome coffee! Dine in or take away options available. Worth the stop!
Exploring Creswick
I drifted all through the town of Creswick. It had the charming country feel about it and the pastry shop was a real treat! Several walks about including the lake and 'Blue Lake'
