Farming With Habitat Tour
How we work to farm with our habitat and to improve the farm landscape for native animals. Suitable both for adults and for children. You will meet our farm animals an also see features of our farm that demonstrate our wildlife-friendly farming and our approach to livestock farming.
Bush Walks
Take a walk thru our conservation area recovering from the Jan 2020 fires. There will be incredible wildflower displays soon . Tracks on our property also link with the seldom-visited neighbouring Ellerslie Nature Reserve. Both areas protect critically endangered habitat.
Wildlife And Bird Watching
Our conservation area and neighbouring Ellerslie Nature Reserve take you thru the habitat containing Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Euros, Swamp Wallabies, Squirrel Gliders, Feather-tailed gliders. We have documented 137 different bird species on the property including many endangered species.
Superb Stargazing
While at Kestrel Nest we experienced some of the best stargazing conditions we'd ever seen. Set up a chair on the deck and stare in awe.
Explore The Property
Be sure to bring your walking shoes and explore the pristine surroundings. The hut is on the edge of a conservation area protecting one of Australia's rarest habitats: Box Gum Grassy Woodland. In here you can discover over 100 different species of birds, echidnas, wombats, wildflowers and other natural delights.
