If you are looking for a digital detox and being surrounded by nature, look no further!
The Conversion is a converted shearing shed which has been lovingly crafted into a 2 bedroom cozy cabin retreat. Located on the edge of the Wombat State Forest in the picturesque Macedon Ranges, The Conversion is surrounded by farmland and bushland and is part of our working sheep farm. At the end of the driveway, a world of bush walking and bike riding tracks open up before you. If you prefer quiet country lanes, we have that too!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: There is WIFI at The Conversion, and very limited phone reception. The Conversion is located near the main house (about 50m) but completely separate and divided by hedges and carport.
Imagine waking up to the sound of kookaburra's, the horses and sheep grazing in the paddock at your front door as the sun and mist rise over the forest.
The smell of freshly brewed coffee or hand crafted artisan tea. Putting a log on the fire and jumping back into bed to read while you enjoy a lazy morning.
You might then go for a walk or bike ride in the Wombat State Forest with the fresh eucalypt permeating the air. That's just the start of your day at The Conversion!
There are sheep, horses, chooks and dogs who make up our farm, and lots of native wildlife who come and go.
Trentham and the surrounding quaint Central Victorian towns are all within a short country drive. Fabulous scenery, food & wine, shopping and fresh country air all abound. We promise that you will leave feeling digitally detoxed, relaxed and connected.

We really enjoyed our relaxing weekend at The Conversion! Loved how it was decorated and waking up to the kookaburras, sheep, and all. We spent time walking around the local shops, gathering supplies to cook, and hiking around the forest area which is just down the road.

We had such a beautiful stay at The Conversion. Lovely fit-out, and great recommendations of things to do by the hosts. The cherry on top was arriving late on Friday night to the fire crackling away, making it so cozy.
Thank you!

The conversion is exactly how it is described. Switch off with a warm cosy fire and a book. All the amenities were well thought out and everything you needed was there. The decor was a highlight with ...top notch curation. Heidi had the fire going when we arrived so was warm and welcoming. The farm land is so serene and we had the pleasure to meet a fresh born baby lamb.
