Our charming country retreat is located in the quiet village of Penrose, just a short drive from many of the Southern Highlands’ most loved attractions, including vineyards, restaurants, national parks, and picturesque country towns.
The Studio
The retreat features a beautifully renovated, fully self-contained independent studio with a luxurious king bed.
The studio has its own separate front and rear entrances, offering guests privacy and independence. The front opens onto a furnished veranda, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, while the rear features floor-to-ceiling French doors leading onto three acres of beautifully manicured gardens.

While the Studio is part of the main building, it is completely self-contained with its own entrances, ensuring a high level of privacy throughout your stay.
We split our time between Sydney and the property. When we are on site, we are always happy to assist if needed, while also fully respecting your space. When we’re away, we remain easily contactable.

The retreat is composed by a fully renovated independent Studio with a king bed.
The self contained Studio has a separate front and back entrance with a furnished front veranda and a back veranda with floor to ceiling French Doors that open on 3 acres of manicured gardens.
The Studio is fully furnished with a King bed, a leather couch, a 60in Smart Tv, a fully equipped kitchen with a full size dishwasher, washer, dryer, a luxurious Italian style bathroom with 2 rain showers and an extra large sink.
The Studio is also equipped with a fridge, Nespresso coffee machine (pods provided) and an Aeroccino which makes the best frothed milk in the whole wide world! You will also find a kettle and a microwave so that you can easily fix yourself a meal should you wish to do so. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook a Royal Banquet for 20 people including a bread machine (bread mix provided!) and a large stand mixer.
We also offer our guests a continental breakfast together with some items you can cook yourself such as fresh eggs from the farm.
Just a few steps outside The Studio you will find your very own private Spa bath nestled among the rainforest. The Spa is for the sole and exclusive use of the guests staying in The Studio.
We love pets and pets love The Vale! You are welcome to bring along your house trained pet at no extra cost. Please ensure your pet does not gain access to the paddock with the Alpacas.
Guests will have access to the Studio and to the entire 5 acres of gardens. Guests will also be able to interact with our animals: chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowls, sheep and alpacas.

The Vale Gardens
The Vale has three acres of manicured gardens, we wandered and soaked in the beauty. The bird life is incredible and we swore to come back in the spring time when the garden is in full bloom.
Night Time Hot Tub
We were in and out of that incredible hot tub multiple times a day... but my fave time was after dark, no bubble jets going, soaking in the glory of the forest and serenade of frogs!
The Vale Furry Friends
The Vale sits on 5 acres, 2 of which is for the animals... we got to have some hang time with the chickens, ducks, geese, sheep & lamas!
