LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
- Gold/ This was the richest ever alluvial gold field discovered - and there is probably plenty left to find. Try your hand at fossicking
- Wine/ There are over 10 boutique wineries within striking distance - and you will probably be met by the person who actually grew the grapes and made the wine - not a corporate shirt in sight
- Beer/ Have a craft beer at days end in the local brewery. There are 2 fine craft breweries to try.
- Food & Coffee/ We are set in quiet farmland but only a few kilometres form Heathcote township - coffee, food, bakeries and restaurants. Try a local restaurant or drop in to Bendigo for some culture.

Such a delightful, cozy bush cabin. Beautifully built with attention to detail - everything you could possibly need for a few days off-grid in the bush. Fireplace kept the whole place so warm and toas...ty even in the middle of winter, kitchen and bathroom have all the amenities you need, and cabin is thoughtfully decorated. Steve and Cally were super responsive and lovely hosts. Would love to come back!

Mt Ida Lookout

Enjoy a short walk with beautiful views over Heathcote. We went during sunrise and the sun rose behind us through the trees. I'd expect it is even more special at sunset.
