CARRIAGE DETAILS
The carriage comprises a comfortable queen sized bed, spacious kitchen/dining room equipped with a full sized fridge, stove, oven, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, toaster, crockery, cutlery, coffee maker.
The relaxing red velvet lounge room has a DVD/video library, magazines, and board games to keep you entertained as well as some vintage Australian posters to look at.
There is also a swimming pool and tennis court available for our guests to use.
In the warmer months the train has air conditioning and windows that open to provide a nice through breeze. For the cooler months there is a slow combustion wood fire to sit by and relax.
The wrap around verandah is ideal for watching the ever changing sunsets, having a BBQ, watching the wildlife, admiring the stunning views of the nearby ranges, or just enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
This carriage also offers laundry facilities.
We are surrounded by award winning, cool climate wineries, a couple of which are within walking distance.
In the village of Hall (10 minute drive), you will find "Hops and Vine" where you can taste and purchase many of the local wines, and boutique beers (open Thursday to Sunday). The village also has a pub and local coffee shop that serves lunches, and delicious home made cakes.
A 15 minute drive will bring you to Cockington Green, The Dinosaur Museum and the George Harcourt Inn.
The closest shopping centre is 20 minutes away, in the suburb of Casey, where you will find a Supabarn, Aldi and quite a few eateries.
No public transport to our place, so a car or means of transport is essential.
