Nightcap Hikes

This beautiful hike down to the base of Minyon Falls is well worth the huffing and puffing on the way back up. If a challenging hike isn't your thing, the view from the top of Minyon Falls (which can be accessed in an easy five minute walk from the car park) is breathtaking in itself!
Minyon Falls Base Hike

Minyon Falls Base Hike

Minyon Falls is a 200m drop watefall nestled in the valley of Nightcap National Park. This is the start of multiple walking tracks but we chose to hike to the base and were rewarded with the power of the roaring falls right in front of us!

Hike To Goonengerry Falls

A place where you can swim in cold pools right near the cliff edge with views of the valley. We watched the sun go down and took in the stunning views. Definitely worth the hike!

Lilium Love General Store

The next morning I woke up as the sun rose from behind the Mountain, I packed my things and took a scenic drive further into the hills where I came across a little general store called Lilium Love.

They are a General Store serving and supplying 100% organic, medicinal goods. Lilium does organic coffee and local wild food with a conscious ethos. As a General Store, everything at Lilium is served in biodegradable takeaway vessels. Lilium operates as a space for the spiritual-minded, health-conscious people of the northern rivers. A place of communion and community.'

Protesters Falls

If visiting on a weekend be prepared to feel like the magical natural experience is a bit more like an amusement park. None-the-less the easy walk on the boardwalk was filled with much wonderment and admiration of large jungle foliage and babbling creek views. If your mission is to get that iconic photo with the falls in the background, you’ll have to wait your turn (if visiting on the weekend). However I have visited the falls during off season in the middle of the week and had a much less crowded experience. The big thing to note is READ THE SIGNS, there’s no swimming as all our human product bio sludge contaminates the habitat of endangered frogs. That was of no worry to us however, we had a lovely time sauntering through the forest and had plenty of space to feel the peace of the great outdoors. Would definitely recommend this walk.
