Set amongst beautiful gum trees, you will love the tranquility of this 60 hectare property that allows you to feel like you are the only people on the place.

The Love Shack is great for couples to have a romantic experience in a tranquil bush setting.

We welcome your pets but we have a few ideas for you. Your pet is welcome inside the Love Shack and there is a fenced area for pooches. Please bring the bedding that your pets require. It can get wet and muddy on our rural property so some old towels to dry them off is also worth packing.

We are located on the 60 hectare property to assist you if you need it but happy to leave you to yourselves.

We are located at the start of the Great Ocean Road.
Great beaches only 10 minutes drive to Torquay, Anglesea, Bells Beach and Point Addis. Great for surfing and swimming. Walk further down Point Addis for the nude beach.

The Great Ocean National Park is at the back gate, you can walk, ride a bike or go for a horse ride.
Explore the Great Ocean Road and the many tourist attractions on offer.

There is no public transport to our property but we can arrange to pick you up from Torquay if you wish to catch the train to Geelong and connect on one of the buses that bring you to the Surfcoast.

We operate on fresh tank water and have solar panels that feed back into the grid.
We do like to recycle.
No smoking inside the Love Shack please.
Any excess cleaning will incur a surcharge.
We ask that you leave the property as you find it.

We had a lovely stay at the shack, beautiful surrounds and very handy having horse rides on the property which I’d highly recommended, also nice and close to Torquay.

Only constructive feedback woul...d be the kitchen needs to be better equipped with new pans as the old ones are a biohazard. Closer eye on the cleanliness of the kitchen too, had to wash up everything before using.

We had such a lovely stay at the Love Shack! It was peaceful, comfortable and the perfect little getaway for us. Being able to bring our dog Harry along was a huge bonus and made the trip even more special. Noel and Deb were wonderful hosts and we’d happily stay again. Highly recommend! 🤍

We had a fantastic stay at Spring Creek Love Shack! Noel and Debbie made the entire booking process incredibly easy, and the check-in and check-out were completely seamless.

The Love Shack itself was... absolutely lovely, Very peaceful, cosy, and the perfect place to switch off and relax. It was well presented, and had everything we needed.

Thank you, Noel and Debbie, for making everything so simple. We'd happily stay here again and highly recommend Spring Creek Love Shack to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

My husband Noel and I have run our Horse Trail Riding business since 1988. Our son Abe has now taken over the reins of the horse rides, pardon the pun. We have built three mudbrick cottages since 2009. Noel is a retired fire fighter and Deb a retired Practice Manager. Noel loves to surf and would love to take you surfing at his favourite wave at Bells Beach, whilst Deb could show you one of the many lovely local walks though the bush or along the beach.

Horse Riding On The Property

Spring Creek Horse Rides’ one-hour trail ride is a great introduction to horse riding in Bellbrae just out of Torquay, the start of the famous Great Ocean Road.

Our experienced horse riding guides will lead you on a gentle walk or trot through bushland of the Spring Creek Valley.

This trail ride is ideal for first timers, families and young children. No matter your level of experience, we will pair you with a horse that matches your ability, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable horse riding experience for everyone.

Enjoy a chance to check out the native flora – and who knows, you might even share an encounter with an echidna, kangaroo or cockatoo! If you don’t think one hour is long enough, don’t worry – Spring Creek Horse Rides also offers one-and-a-half and two-hour trail rides near Torquay, as well as all-day horse riding tours.

Spring Creek Trail Rides

The Love Shack is part of a 150 acre property called Spring Creek, that's been run by the same family since the 80's. There are over 40 horses and ponies, with daily trail rides happening. The rides go through bush tracks around the property, and through the bordering national parks. You can even book a pub ride, with lunch stop and cold frothy one at the halfway point. I highly recommend booking a ride as part of your stay at the shack, it was a highlight for us!

Twitcher Paradise

This property is a twitchers paradise, with a vast array of birds to watch, and parrots tame enough to hand feed. Not to mention the resident dogs, horses, and ponies!

Will is one of the coolest most passionate winemakers we have ever met. Greeting us at his cellar door he explains all the wines, letting you taste them all while explaining the process. Make sure you ask how he makes his signature dessert wine. It is liquid gold!
