The view is amazing but is all changes after that!
Upon arrival the flywire screen door did not work, stuck so hard you had to forcibly open it. Inside the dust was extreme, my wife being an asthmati...c this affected her.
It was a dog friendly residence but the dog hairs on the couch was not acceptable. If you have a couch that dogs may jump on, then it should be one that can be wiped down not one with a couch material cover.
In the shower there is mold on the bottom same above toilet ceiling wall. There were hairs on the toilet seat. And the painted floor tiles in the bathroom and kitchen are painted over and cracked. The bathmat and towels that were supplied were very cheap and just nothing in the residence felt clean.
The cooking utensils were not properly cleaned. The baking dish that was supplied was so burnt with remainders of food that it looked filthy and unusable. The toaster full of crumbs and the cupboard as well.
We have photographed all the above and would be more than happy if you would like to see them.
The cost of the accommodation is so excessive for what was provided. We would never recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely spot. Hosts are great. A lot of wildlife around. Very peaceful. Will be booking again.

Hi. My name is Jacqueline, the host The Cape Otway Homestead, The Guesthouse at COH, Koala Cottage, Stone Cottage and Camp CO. My husband and I stumbled across the homestead at the beginning of 2020 and decided to purchase it to bring it back to its former glory. We fell in love with the golden hour views, the way the Grampian stonework shines around the entire homestead and how magnificent the wildlife is on the 60 acres of national forest around the cabins. We think it’s a pretty magical spot.

Bird Watching
We literally sat on the couch in front of the wood fire watching the colourful king parrots fly in and out of the Otways! Several other bird species joined them too - it was a true bird lover paradise!
Outdoor Equipment Provided
We have a stand up paddle board that we can share for a paddle down the inlet. There’s also 2 fishing rods but no bait supplied. Can pick that up at the local food works if needed.

Enjoy a farm experience with Ronnie, our local neighbour who knows everything there is to know about the valley w/his 27 years experience raising chickens and lambs. There’s also 45 veggie batches to pick herbs and veggies. Show Ronnie some love by purchasing a handful of veggies, free range eggs/meats.

Cape Otway Lighthouse is a lighthouse on Cape Otway in southern Victoria, Australia. It is Victoria's oldest working lighthouse. During winter to spring, the lighthouse is a vantage point for land-based whale watching as migrating whales swim very close to shores.

There's soooo many waterfalls, walking tracks and hikes submerged in the Otway National Park. We explored and stayed curious all day long! Triplet Falls is a great start!
