We stayed at this lovely property as part of our Q Train trip. It was warm and inviting, so charming and quirky. Great communication from our hosts and everything was seamless. Beds were all super co...mfortable and a bonus for us was the coffee machine! 6 of us stayed very comfortably, and even though there is only 1 shower inside we still managed really well (2 braver members of our party tested the outdoor shower which got the big thumbs up). Loved wandering through the garden too.

This was our second stay at Tanglewood. It is a magical place and my children loved the outdoor bathhouse, carved chess board and musical instruments. It’s a great place for family time, inspiring imagination and getting away from technology. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What an absolute dream! We will definitely be coming back. Ideal for those wanting quirky and unique accommodation that’s close to shops/restaurants but still feels like a getaway.

13th Beach is a beautiful stretch of beach spanning 4.5 kilometres west of Barwon Heads. A well-known surf spot with consistent waves for surfers of varied skill levels. The waves are good all year round, so pack your wetsuit in the cooler months and get salty.
Barwon River
The sparkling blue waters of the Barwon River, where the river meets the sea in Barwon Heads, really is natures playground. If water sports are your thing, this still water way is popular among Stand Up Paddle Boarders and Kayakers. A fisherman’s favourite and the perfect swimming spot.
Torquay Beaches
In the Torquay area and enormous array of potential surfing locations for the novice and experienced surfer. All within 30 mins drive.
Queenscliff General Store Take Away
Located in the historic town of Queenscliff and popular with the locals, this lovely little general store and cafe has amazing coffee, super-friendly staff and delicious food. Not eating in? They have a takeaway window serving all your favourites.
