“Kigwigil” is an operating sheep and cropping property, located approximately 45km from both Walgett and Lightning Ridge. The property is run by and home to The Warden Family.

The Cottage at Kigwigil is a self-contained and private house that features:

- 2 bedrooms featuring 2 queen beds, and 2 single beds (sleeps 6)

Absolutely loved everything about KCE - it’s magical. Days exploring the area, afternoon soak in the artesian pool, nights stargazing by the fire. Perfect.

A true highlight of our time out west ❤️

The cottage is beautiful with everything you need for a very comfortable stay.
We especially loved the bore bath - just fabulous, star gazing, sitting around ...the fire in the evenings and watching the birdlife from the front veranda with a coffee in the early morning.

We loved our stay at Kigwigil. Jamo and Gina were so welcoming and generous with time and sharing their knowledge and love of their home and countryside with us. The cottage is extremely comfortable a...nd has everything you need. Soaking in the bore at the end of the day was magic. Location perfect for visiting Lightning Ridge, Grawin Opal Fields, Brewarrina and surrounding areas. Highly recommended!

Private Artesian Bore Baths

Soak up the serenity under a starry sky from the comfort of our luxurious artesian plunge pools. Naturally heated between 40 - 50 degrees, the water is pumped directly from the Great Artesian Basin and filled with natural minerals to soothe the body and soul the whole way through!

Outdoor Bath

Soak up the serenity in our outdoor tub 🛁 and enjoy a visit from our feathered friends while you’re at it!

Guided Farm Tour

We offer guided tours of "Kigwigil" where guests learn about the livestock and cropping operations, spot for wild animals and enjoy the outback scenery. Tours include a cooked smoko in the paddock and beverages along the way. Tours are $650 and are booked upon direct request.
