The water is filtered rainwater. The kitchen has everything you need for you to cook your own breakfast ( eggs from our chickens). There are teas, coffee's and the basic's you need to feel at home.
We encourage people to use the pool and kayaks there is no problem for us to drop you off at the boat ramp at the end of Violet hill Rd (Boolambayte Lake) which is part of the Myall Lakes system. There is also plenty of space to park your boat on the property.
We have a Kelpie/Collie cross retired working dog called Bex she gets very excited, she'll want to play and will try to round you up, she is very friendly and obedient, she loves chasing and playing with visiting dogs. We would love you to bring your friendly dog, however, we do not like dogs on the furniture or sleeping on the beds. There are water bowls, drying off towels, a few toys etc for your fur baby to use or bring your own. We also have a range of blankets and bedding too. Please pick up your dog pooh or feel free to take your dog to the front paddock for the toilet, we have children staying that also play outside.
We respect nature and love our visits from the wallabies, eastern rosellas, king parrots, native pigeons, black cockatoos, swallows, red face finches, azure kingfisher, wrens, willy wagtails, wedge-tail eagles, white egrets, green tree frogs, goannas, eastern water dragons and we have tortoise's come to the billabong to lay their eggs.
We are passionate about bees and have a flow hive and natural hives, they are a long way from the Bach. For safety reasons, if you are allergic please carry your pen.
There's a fireplace to keep warm on winter nights as well as an outside pit to sit under the stars. There's plenty of sticks and wood to burn even though you may need to collect some of it yourself. There's a screen guard to keep kids safe. There's plenty of board games, puzzles, and cards.
Open fires are subject to fire restrictions when in place by the rural fire service. We will let you know.
I love yoga and we have some great yoga teachers in Bulahdelah. There is a class timetable available or If you would like private lessons, it's best to book in advance. There are some mats and blocks for you to use also.
The TV has free-to-air channels, it has a cable you can connect your USB to watch your own movies. We are on satellite so wifi can be incredibly slow, frustratingly slow. There are a couple of spots you can get reception with your phone. Telstra works the best.
You're welcome to walk the whole property, the property is full of flood gums so watch where you put your feet, for tree roots, dips, and bumps, etc. We also have a lot of gardens based on permaculture and companion planting.
Use the beach towels, sunscreen, beach umbrella, and chairs, or plastic wine glasses to lounge by the pool.
I work as a masseuse in another community and on-site, if you would like a massage please organize times when booking your accommodation, this is an extra cost.
This is a great property to come and unwind, relax and re-center yourself in nature or use it as a base to explore the many lakes and beaches.

I am New Zealand born, from Kahungunu, brought up in Christchurch. Now living in rural NSW with my OZ farmer partner who was brought up in Newcastle. We love our property, the trees and the abundance of life that visit at different times of the season, the billabong attracts different birds. I am in the process of transitioning our orchard to permeculture gardens. We like the outdoors, animals, sustainability.
Lee is very good at building stuff, like the garden shed, whaf and other stuff around the land. He has sold the cattle farm and now taking it easy. I facilitate Womens Workshops and retreats. We love our dog Bex, who is very friendly and likes to meet and greet guests.
