During your stay, we invite you to learn about our expansive regenerative farming practices at Wallendbeen Park Farm. We embrace the privilege of producing healthy, nutritious food while caring for the land. Our free-range pigs roam alongside a thriving herd of cattle and a flock of Wiltipoll sheep, all managed in a planned grazing system. Our commitment to sustainability extends throughout our operation—our land remains free from fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides, creating a truly natural environment for both our animals and our guests to enjoy.

SCHOOLHOUSE DETAILS
The schoolhouse is a beautiful cosy getaway, an open plan space with a very comfortable double bed, a small but well-appointed kitchen and a very nice ensuite bathroom. The comfy couch folds out to make an extra bed for an additional guest if required.

The outside veranda & paved garden area is your own space to have a morning coffee, a glass of wine and a BBQ in the evening or to stargaze at night. In the winter months, we are happy for guests to light up the fire pit, cook a meal over the open fire and toast a few marshmallows.

When you arrive we will give you a full orientation of the accommodation and we are available to answer any questions about our farm or what's on in the surrounding region.

We do not place restrictions on access, however, we do ask you to have a chat with us before wandering around the farm. Thank you.

Located in the south-west slopes, the countryside around Wallendbeen is gently undulating and very pretty. Most properties are mixed farming.

There is lots to do as we are close to some of the top addresses for fruit (cherries and other stone fruit) and wine in both the Riverina and the Hilltops Regions. Let us know what you are interested in and we'd be very happy to make recommendations of places to visit and things to do.

The Harden and Cootamundra Railway Stations are nearby. We can pick up and drop off guests if required.

We do expect that you respect the beauty of our natural environment and keep in mind you are visiting a working farm. Caution should be taken when walking around the farm and we ask you to check in with us before you go for walks.

Our water is caught off our rooftops ... we are not on town water ... so please keep this in mind and use a minimal amount when showering etc. We also have a septic sewage system. Smoking is only permitted outside.

We are happy for you to bring your dog and charge a small fee of $25 per stay.

Historic Bridges Of Gundagai

The landscape at Gundagai is dominated by four bridges spanning the Murrumbidgee flats: the historic Prince Alfred Bridge, the timber Railway Bridge, and now the dual Sheahan bridges of the Hume Highway.

The timber viaducts are wonderful examples of early engineering solutions to crossing a major flood plain. Their national significance is recognised with listing by the National Trust. They are a spectacular latticework of wooden trusses, spanning the flood plains and River. Follow the River Walk from Yarri Park – they are well worth a look.
