The cabin features a large open plan living and bedroom space with kitchenette and bathroom, plus a secluded outdoor area to sit and enjoy the private view.

The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge and a gas cooktop, plus quality cookware, so you can self-cater.

The cabin has little to no phone reception, nor Wi-Fi.
It’s a great excuse to switch off, be in the moment, soak in the surrounds and relax.

However, if you are in need to make calls or check emails, don’t worry.
Just a short walk up to the top of Monga Lane towards the National Park, you should be able to receive reliable 4G.

Guests are free to roam the entire property.
Access to the Monga National Park and its hiking trails is just a short walk from the cabin door.

Our house is close by, up the hill so we are available for information and local advice if you need.

Reidsdale is a rural hamlet of Braidwood, with farmland and open pastures at the foothill of the 62,000 acre Monga National Park, a pristine cold climate ancient rainforest.

The Monga National Park has many hiking trails, 4WD tracks, a cool temperate rainforest filled with ancient plum wood trees from the Gondwana Age, warm temperate rainforests and old-growth eucalypt forests. Enjoy relaxing picnics along the banks of Mongarlowe River, with peaceful spots to watch the local wildlife and admire the unique Monga waratahs in flower.

Braidwood is a historic town, with a history dating back to the gold rush in the 1850s, and features fantastic shopping, bakeries and eateries. The main street is a vibrant mix of cafes, antique stores, art galleries and weekend markets.

The area has a few secret glorious local swimming holes in which we can direct you to!

There is no public transport in the area, so you will need your own car to reach the property.
There is a short unpaved road to reach the property.

16mins to Braidwood town centre with IGA, bakeries, butcher and shopping.
1hr to Batemans Bay.
1hr 15min to Canberra.

Please note: We are an off-grid property that aims to have a gentle footprint.

We exist on solar power and rain water, so please be mindful of your water and power usage. There is no WIFI available which is an opportunity to switch off, slow down and reconnect with the sights and sounds of nature.

Also, our toilet is a waterless compost toilet, it is a modern Swedish-designed model called the Seperett Villa. It's a contemporary compost toilet which is silent and odourless.
