Along with a group of friends we all had a great stay here. It’s a central place and each room is of good size. The living area seemed even bigger than the photos portray and it had everything we needed.

We had a glorious stay at Union St. Great location with walking distance to shops, cafes etc. The house itself is terrific -VERY comfy beds, and enough comfy seating for 6. It was a cold and rainy wkd for us, but the house was cosy and warm.

Bike Riding

This trail begins in Castlemaine and runs beside the Victorian Goldfields Tourist Train line to Maldon via Muckleford and is 18km long. The trail is mostly surrounded by open dry forest, with some views of rolling hills and farms.

Fryers Ridge Nature Conservation Reserve

Fryers Ridge Circuit is a 19.1km, grade 3 Circuit hike located in Fryers Ridge Nature Conservation Reserve Victoria. The hike should take approximately 5 hours to complete. Or opt for a shorter hike if you prefer a more relaxed wander through the trails.

The Fryers Ridge Circuit hike will take you through the scenic woodlands expanse of Fryers Ridge Nature Conservation Reserve. This is a quiet woodland area with several small streams. There is plenty of bird life in this park and you will most likely spot some wallabies and kangaroos.

Turpins Falls

Turpins Falls Scenic Reserve is located approximately 12km from Kyneton and is one of several waterfalls and associated deep pools located along the Campaspe River. The water cascades into a large billabong with a high rock wall on three sides. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the falls from a lookout located a short walk from the carpark.
