Where can I go and what can I do with my pet?

Port Campbell and the surrounding areas are full of nature, open spaces and wonderful places to explore. You and your dog are welcome at many of these places but not all.

As Port Campbell and much of the surrounding coastline is National Park and home to many incredible native animals, dogs are strictly prohibited in some areas. You can leave your pet in your vehicle in the car parks at many of the main attractions such as the 12 Apostles making sure they are happy and safe.

We have put together an itinerary of pet friendly adventures you may wish to experience during your stay with us. You can view this on our website daysyhillcottages.com.au.

Please adhere to all signage along your adventures as things can change. If you are planning to dine out with your pet we advise contacting the operator directly, making a reservation and confirming your pet is welcome too as this can change seasonally.

A peaceful place to stay near Port Campbell. Beautiful scenery to wake up to and was so nice to be able to bring our dog to stay with us. The owners provided lots of tips for taking your pup around th...e area and the cottage was cosy and well kept and had everything we needed. Perfect location, not far from Timboon also where we took our dog on walks and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a weekend away with their pup in tow.

My stay at Daysy Hill cottages was perfect! Check in was seamless and the owners and family are friendly and happy to chat. The Rose Cottage was absolutely beautiful and has everything you could need ...for a holiday, you could honestly live in them. The cottage was clean and the queen bed was very comfortable. The outlook from the lounge and verandah was very scenic. The grounds of the property are immaculate and gardens are stunning. My little cavoodle met free range chooks for the first time! Port Campbell is a short drive and offers a small range of restaurants, take-away and an IGA. I would definitely return again to Daysy Hill Cottages

Exploring Daysy Hill

Just out the back of our cottage was a path that lead to a beautiful view of rolling green hills! We saw fish, sheep, chickens and a friendly dog who Beau made friends with. There was even a picnic table ready to go!

Port Campbell

Port Campbell is a small coastal town that attracts beachgoers from far and wide, especially on a beautiful sunny day. Take a walk around town, fish from the jetty, swim at the beach, walk out to the point, surf the break or enjoy a meal at one of the great eateries. You can't help but slow down and relax in our lovely village.

We stopped at Gibson Street, and then various locations along the road to Port Campbell that were less populated (not sign posted) to enjoy the views without the crowds.
Grass Roots Deli Cafe

Grass Roots Deli Cafe

We popped up to Port Campbell to stock up on food to take back to camp and found this little gem. The service is incredible and the cakes are delicious!

Port Cambell Beach

Beautiful safe swimming beach. Great spot to cool off on a hot day, a place to be face to face with the mighty southern ocean on a cold winters day, & a magical location watching the sun go down.
