Additional Information

You're welcome to walk around the property, feed the chickens and collect the eggs; please remember to shut the gate. The vegetable garden is there to enjoy as we share our produce when in season. We respect nature and love our visits from the kangaroos, parrots, magpies, kookaburras, butcher birds, galahs, willy wagtails, green tree frogs and the cows, which at times are at every fence of the property.

The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own breakfast (eggs from our chickens) There are teas, coffees and the basics you need to feel at home.

There is a wooden deck with BBQ for you to enjoy and all windows have bug screens. The property supplies tank water throughout the house, we do have a filtered water station in the kitchen for drinking.

There's a great wood fire inside which is wonderful for those cold winter nights. Plenty of wood is stacked and easily accessible and you can enjoy picking up sticks around the property for those starters. There is a screen guard to keep kids safe.

There is also an outdoor fire pit if you feel like cooking a camp oven meal. Open fires are subject to fire restrictions when in place by the rural fire service. We will let you know.

For extra accommodation at the back of the property, we have a caravan with a double bed, and deck to sit and enjoy the valley view; under the gum trees.

The house TV has free to air channels; there is a DVD player and a port for your USB to watch your own movies. Telstra phone reception, Optus is very limited.

This is a great property to come to and unwind, relax and re-centre yourself in nature or use it as a base to explore the National Parks in the area.

Only a phone call away.

Gloucester township is only 16km down the road, hosting several cafes., 2 hotels, Woolworths, IGA, Laundry matt, train station, bakery, specialty shops, butchers, nursery. Visitors Information Centre and the Parks and Wildlife Office. There is The Barrington Outdoor Adventure Centre for the adventurous.

The Gloucester & Barrington Region has so much to offer in natural beauty and wilderness adventures. Enjoy scenic drives both on sealed and unsealed roads; coastal or mountains. You could appreciate wonderful bushwalking experiences or just relax in the School House and absorb the ambience surrounding you.

The entire property is fully fenced with added heavy-duty chicken wire, safe for your doggie to roam around freely.

No shoes in the house.

Hangs With The Farm Animals

Monte the scapegoat, and the chickens, will want to say hello when you visit. Feeding the farm animals with the food that Katherine, the lovely owner, kindly left for us was a truly wonderful experience to wake up to each morning.
