We had three nights at Cubby House with our newborn baby - our first family holiday. We absolutely loved it and couldn’t recommend more highly. The house is well kitted out for a few days getaway and ...had everything we needed. Cracking views and very cosy in winter.

The area was also awesome. Great pub and met some lovely locals over the weekend.

Walk To Kennett River

5.4km (one way) Walk to Kennett River. Start on Morley Avenue in Wye River and follow signs to the newly-constructed walk.
Time low tide right and walk back to Wye along the beaches and rocks and grab a beer at the pub at the end.

Walk To Jamieson Creek

Begin beside the Wye River CFA, taking Paddy's Path to Separation Creek, before taking the 5.5km path to Jamieson Creek beach for a swim. Time your walk with low tide to make the return trek along the beaches and rocks of the rugged coast.

Waves are available most days in Wye. Whether it's the point break of Baldie, the powerful break of 'Seconds' or the dependable beach break.

Otway Glow Worms

Take a drive up the Grey River Road once night has fallen. Park at the Grey River Picnic Area and walk back over the bridge to marvel at the forest floor illuminated by these bioluminescent wonders.

Pitstop Lorne

After road tripping the coast and hiking a local waterfall we'd worked up an appetite and the PitStop Lorne was the perfect place to refuel. Serving retro diner-style American food and 50's music on repeat, this permanent food truck fixture sits right in the heart of Lorne and is the life of the main street.

Erskine Falls

Located about 15 minutes inland from the town of Lorne, this gorgeous waterfall in the Great Otway National Park stands at 30-metres tall and cascades down into a beautiful rainforest gully. The viewpoints are only a short walk down but there are 230 steps so be aware of this before you make the hike! We highly recommend Erskine Falls as a must-see during a trip down the coast.
