Hinterhouse sits on 5 acres on the banks of the Never Never River in Gleniffer, about 15 minutes’ easy drive from the bohemian town of Bellingen on the mid-north NSW coast. It's a laid-back retreat nestled in a treasured part of the Bellinger Valley, known as the Promised Land.
hinterhouse is set amidst lush meadows, rainforest and beautiful spots to swim and relax. The river provides a constant song, sometimes meandering and at other times absolutely barrelling along. And the high back wall of the Dorrigo escarpment looms above the Promised Land, bringing dancing lightning storms and offering spectacular sunsets along its ridge.
The house is large, clean and light; there is ample space and you will enjoy separate living, dining, lounging and outdoor areas. There is a nice mix of modern furnishings and art. A large outdoor entertaining area overlooks the rainforest along the river. A fire pit sits on the open grass on the riverbank, providing a great place to come together later in the day. There are blissful garden spaces and an orchard.
We are fortunate to have mountains, rivers and beaches nearby. Great hiking and mountain biking trails start at the front gate. The swimming holes of the Angel Gabriel Capararo Reserve are a short walk away. World-class surf breaks are a short drive, and there is always something to do in Bellingen and the surrounding valleys.

Bedroom 5: 1 queen bed, with ensuite
Amenities:
The house has everything you need; a large covered outdoor area with daybeds, dining table and BBQ, a smart TV, a well equipped and modern kitchen (with Nespresso machine), fans, air con, high speed WiFi, table tennis table, a wood fire and an outdoor firepit. You will find ample space to work, read and relax.
Rules:
Wedding receptions, schoolies, bucks and hen nights, parties and functions are strictly prohibited.
Guests who are not listed on the booking are not permitted to stay on the property.
Numbers of guests should not exceed the number on the confirmation notice or subsequently agreed with the owner in writing or via email.
Cars may not be driven on the lawns.
Quiet time after 10pm .. disturbance to our neighbours at any time, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.
Damages, breakages, theft and loss are the guests' responsibility during their stay.
Use contrary to these rules may result in immediate eviction and/ or loss of security deposit/ bond and/or additional payments.
The property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival.
Plates/ dishes and kitchen utensils are to be cleaned and put away on departure, the BBQ grill is to be cleaned, rubbish is to be removed from the kitchen, all rubbish bags are to be tied, secured safely and left in the rubbish bin in the carport, and all recycling is to be left in the open bins provided in the carport.
A $100 payment will be deducted from your security deposit/ bond if plates/ dishes and the BBQ grill are not cleaned and rubbish is not secured safely in accordance with these rules.
