Dawning Day Wine Tasting
As the sun was setting, and mist rolled through the Vineyard outside, Michael treated us to a Wine Tasting at their Cellar Door, just a short hop, skip and a jump from our front door. Their Border Collie Kevin joined us for a few pats too, as we enjoyed the warmth radiating from the fire, perfect incorporation considering the chill brought by the downpour of rain over the past few days. We enjoyed chatting with the locals of the area and got a real feel for the sense of community in this beautiful part of the Southern Highlands.
The wine was absolutely glorious too, and we really enjoyed the stories that accompanied each wine we tried. It was hard to walk away without a few bottles to take home, with our favourites being the Pinot Ganay, Skin Shady and Garage Grenache.

Quintessential Exeter
We popped into Quintessential Exeter, a chic boutique clothing store featuring everything from giftable knick-knacks to designer labels such as CeliaB that are hard to come by outside of the online space.
While perusing the assortment of jams, jewellery, candles and more, we met the shop owner Rachael who provided insights into all the hand-selected pieces on display. Rachael had such a beautiful energy and provided some wonderful insights into what the locals like to do in the surrounding area.

Exeter Train Station
This heritage-listed railway station was first opened in 1878 and features all the quaint touches of history.
As we stopped to take in the architecture, a train blew past transporting local goods, adding to the entire experience.

Hillview Sculpture Park Lookout
We came across a sign saying 'Hill View', so we decided to visit. Driving up a dirt road, with paddocks on each side filled with cows, and abstract pieces of art.
This place did not disappoint. At the top of the hill was a congregation of enormous trees, modern art sculptures and wildflowers, home to a spectacular view of the Southern Highlands region.

Fitzroy Falls
Discover the beauty and grandeur of the Fitzroy Falls, a waterfall that drops more than 80 metres in the Morton National Park. The East Rim and Wildflower walking track will take you to lookouts with magnificent views. The West Rim track offers more wonderful vistas of gorges and waterfalls.
