Additional Information

The property owners are on site but away from the cabin which will allow for total privacy

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay including a gas cooktop, microwave and outside Weber BBQ.

Relax and unwind in our oversized bath with a rain shower and the sounds of the rainforest.

Our guests have full access to the property and its surroundings.

We greatly value the privacy of our guests enjoying our cabin. If anything is needed we can be contacted at the main house which is around 100m away.

The cabin sits on a private and remote rural property located in the lush Nambucca Valley. Home to a myriad of native wildlife and stunning rainforest.

The cabin is a 30-minute drive from the nearest town of Bowraville and so we recommend doing your grocery shop on the way.
The road to the property is a combination of a sealed road followed by a council maintained dirt road.

NOTE: There is a creek crossing into the property. This will require a 4WD to cross as the water may be too deep for a car. You can park at the front of the property where we are happy to meet you and transport you to the cabin.
There is also no 4G available in the area of Girralong.

Things to Bring

• As we are 30 minutes to the nearest town we would suggest that you do your grocery shopping along the way either in Macksville, Nambucca or Bowraville.

• “Rivershoes” for the river if you want to wade or swim in the river on the property.

• Beach towels, swimmers, sturdy walking shoes and hat.

Things Provided

• We supply complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and condiments (salt and pepper, oil and vinegar). There will also be some fresh eggs (when available from our chickens!)

• All linens and towels are provided

Quiet hours after 9 PM. No shoes in the cabin.

Prices

  • Base Price $185 / night
  • Cleaning Fee $30
  • Discounts
10% discount for bookings of 5 nights or longer

My wife and I stayed here in August. Judy has put a lot of thought and love into this cabin. For a self-catered cabin there was nothing we missed. The forest right outside the window is full of birds ...and it's a treat to wake up to their singing. We also went for a dip in the river, crystal clear water with fish to see, although a little chilly this time of year.

My husband Martin and I live in a beautiful remote rural property in the Nambucca Valley. After many years of living in Pittwater and sailing up and down the east coast we have opted for the "tree change". We love wildlife and enjoy watching the beautiful birds and native animals on our property.

Pick Fresh Fruit And Say Hi To The Horses

Doc and Kat are the two horses that live on the property. You'll find them head down munching on grass 95% of the time. Don't be shy – go say hi while you pick some fresh fruit for an afternoon snack.

An Evening At The Creek

Walk two minutes from the cabin and you'll stumble upon your own private creek and swimming hole. Though it was a bit chilly for us to swim in winter, I can only imagine how relaxing an afternoon by the creek on a hot summer day would be.

The property's Ridge Walk is a gradual climb through the surrounding forest. There are known to be koalas in the area, so make sure you keep your head up!

Waterfall Walk

Just steps away from the cabin door, there's a footpath into the forest that leads to the property's private waterfall. The cabin even comes with its own set of gumboots, so you don't have to worry about getting your feet wet.
