Nestled in the bush this peaceful beauty will let all your stresses melt away. Take a stroll through the bush or have a few bevies by the barbecue whilst cooking tea. You may even spot a roo or hear a koala. The bird life is great.
Our back yard is large and backs onto the bush. The shack has its own private deck out the back plus it has a front verandah. Also out the back is a private bush fire place where you can sit in peace. You are welcome to have a stroll around our garden and there is a track down the bush. Our house is also on the property which is roughly 20 meters away.
Please note we have animals: dog, cat, horse, chooks and roosters. This is their home also. Please don’t book if you don’t like roosters crowing or dogs. Please don’t let the dog in the shack, she’ll snuggle on your bed with dirty paws! Keep door close if you are not near by as the chooks will go inside.
We are on tank water so the water may be slightly stained from the tannins in the leaves. There is a container of clean water to drink from.
If you leave the lights on and the doors open bugs will come inside as that is apart of living in the bush.
There is no curtain in the bathroom so if this bothers you, we can put a sheet up however the view is beautiful whilst showering or bathing.
We are proud at how we keep the shack clean so be respectful and leave it in a clean state when you leave.
We supply a little milk, bread, spreads, coffee and cereal.
There is no wifi at the shack and reception is limited.

Feel free to light the little fire and sit around it! (NOT ON TOTAL FIRE BAN DAYS). Just use common sense and no being silly around the fire.
Please ask us first about lighting a fire so we are aware and for safety reasons.
There is a kitchenette with a microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. There is NO full sized oven. There is a small BBQ outside for cooking also it has a wok burner on the side.
Coffee, cereal, milk, bread and spreads are supplied.

There is no curtain in the bathroom. If this makes you uncomfortable let us know and we can put one up. It is a beautiful view when showering or bathing and we have so many compliments how good it is but I know some people are shy.
If you leave the door open, flies and bugs will go into the shack. That is part of living in the bush and there is nothing we can do about it other than keep doors closed.
There is NO wifi at this listing and service is minimal for making phone calls.
The outdoor shower has minimal privacy, if this bothers you don’t use it and use inside one.
20-30 min to all the surrounding towns. This includes Warrnambool, Timboon, Port Campbell and the Great Ocean Road. You will need to get here by car. Or bike. Sorry no helicopter pad for landing. There is a parking spot next to the shack.
We love a chat and a bevie so feel free to hit us up! If you’d like peace that’s fine also we can let you be. If there is anything you need just pop over to our house and ask or send a message.
-Keep tidy, please do the dishes.
-Don’t break things.
-Respect the property and animals.
-Smoking outside only.
-Do not go in the horse pen.
-Do not steal.
-If you use bath salts please rinse out the bath. Do not use bath salts with glitter or any form of glitter in the bath.
-No candles or incense.
-If you walk in with dog poo on your shoes, please clean it up (preferably take shoes off).
-Strict rule of no children or infants. If you arrive with a child or infant I will have to ask you to leave. Please respect this.
-If any extra guests arrive with out my knowledge, they will be asked to leave or pay $300 for extra guests.
These previous two rules I have to state clear due to people disrespecting this in the past which I find disappointing and rude.
-leave the BBQ in the same condition as you found it, if you can’t be bothered cleaning it after using, don’t use it, get take away…. Extra cleaning fee if it’s not suitably clean ($20).
-I ask that you leave the place similar to how you found it. This is not a motel, this is our home that we enjoy sharing with others.
