Bunjil Farm is a rural retreat set in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges, near Kyneton, just one hour from the Melbourne CBD and 20 minutes to Daylesford.

The Hemp Cottage is a split-level, retrofitted 1890s cottage. Guests can experience the difference in insulation properties of hemp-lime construction versus weatherboard.

The farm buildings are a collection of structures from the mid-to-late-1800s, giving a showcase of life during those times but with the comforts of more modern living.

The farm is away from the hustle and bustle, but only 10 minutes to cafes and restaurants that have a reputation for fine local produce.

We are ten minutes by car from Kyneton. There is no public transport, although we may be available to pick you up from Kyneton train station if arrangements are made in advance.

BBQ facilities are available.

Because of fire restrictions and environmental concerns, we ask that guests refrain from smoking.

Lyn founded the Industrial Hemp Association of Victoria in 2002. After promoting hemp for 10 years, operating out of her Melbourne home, she made the tree change to an 80 acre farm where she has grown hemp under licence and continues to promote the uses and benefits of hemp. She encourages farmers to grow the crop and consumers to buy hemp products ranging from food through to textiles and building products. The Hemp Cottage is just one of the ways that Lyn promotes hemp. The Settler's Hut is another example of the philosophy of reducing, reusing and recycling - in this case, a whole building!
