Great location. Beautiful view, peaceful, cozy cottage with everything you need. Perfect spot to relax. Lyn was a great host.

Lyn is a very hospitable and friendly host. Always accommodating to your needs and making sure youre enjoying your stay. The place itself is a beautiful getaway to feel disconnected from it all in a h...omey cottage. Clean and built well eith plenty of character. I'd recommend staying here for a quiet trip with perhaps a loved one or even a solo nature getaway

Lyn was the most lovely host, patient, informative and responsive as we settled in for our stay. Highlight of our trip were the delightfully crispy linen sheets and the lovely sprawl of grassy plain f...or us to meander around in. The view is spectacular, we caught a peek of cloud formation as it grew into a thunderstorm - it was such a Nat Geo moment. Great to unwind, reconnect with the earth and squeeze a workshop in under Lyn’s care. Zoe the dog and a family of wrens are there to greet you morning daily as well. Will definitely revisit if we have the chance!

Lyn founded the Industrial Hemp Association of Victoria in 2002. After promoting hemp for 10 years, operating out of her Melbourne home, she made the tree change to an 80 acre farm where she has grown hemp under licence and continues to promote the uses and benefits of hemp. She encourages farmers to grow the crop and consumers to buy hemp products ranging from food through to textiles and building products.
The Hemp Cottage is just one of the ways that Lyn promotes hemp.
The Settler's Hut is another example of the philosophy of reducing, reusing and recycling - in this case, a whole building!

Loddon Falls
Just a short drive from the small village of Glenlyon you will find the beautiful Loddon Falls. Follow the dirt road through farmland until you reach the gate to the reserve. Park the car and take the track to the information board, from here walk towards the river to find the rocky track down to the falls. Be rewarded with picturesque views of the falls. A great place to for a swim to cool off in summer.

Explore the moss-covered Wombat State Forest and spend some time getting back to nature. Located between Woodend and Daylesford the state forest is approximately 70,000 hectares of beautiful bushland. Spot wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, echidnas, koalas and many species of birds.
