From the moment you walk in and smell the fireplace that has soaked into the timber surrounds, you are instantly at home in such a cute cottage. To be so close to shops yet feel so distanced from all ...the hustle and bustle, this place is the best weekender.
Nothing beats waking up in the natural surrounds. From the time you open the front gate, driving through the cattle wandering around and over a little waterway, this is an experience you once remember or a new one waiting to be found. Lindsay and Pam are the most friendliest and hospitable hosts you will meet in life and on your travels.

A beautiful and peaceful Hunter Valley escape

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cranky Rock Cottage. It is such a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place, surrounded by stunning scenery and an am...azing property to explore.

A special thank you to the wonderful hosts, Lindsay and Pam, who made us feel so welcome. Their hospitality really added to the experience.

The hot tub spa was fantastic and the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring the Hunter Valley. We loved walking around the property and taking in the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings.

The location is also fantastic. It’s close to Cessnock and many of the Hunter Valley’s amazing wineries, while the charming town of Wollombi is just nearby, with the historic tavern and general store being great places to visit.

We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would happily stay at Cranky Rock Cottage again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing and beautiful Hunter Valley escape!

Lunch At The Trading Post

Luguna, a little town so small that if you blinked, you'd miss it! And it's not one you wanna miss my friends! I stopped at the "Trading Post" for lunch as well as tried their home brew! I could have easily settled in for the arvo for a cheeky summer arvo sesh but I decided a take away freshly made juice would be wise. My Liver thanked me.
