Cranky Rock Cottage was perfect for our birthday weekend escape. Warm comfy bed, full equipped kitchen and warm cozy fire. Not to mention the hot tub where we spent each night under the stars even in ...the rain we were warm and relaxed. The cottage is glorious and full of charm. We had an amazing time.

The place was amazing if you love nature, peace reaxing and quiet this is definitely where you would go the open fire place and the spa are 100% the high light we are definitely recommending cranky ro...ck cottage to everyone and will be back again thankyou Pam and Lindsey for providing this amazing place 😀

Whatta delightful, rustic, beautiful cottage that Lindsay built himself! On arrival, Lindsay came to greet us and show us through the cottage. Such a gorgeous place, with serene surrounds. The firepla...ce was divine, the hot tub under the stars was special, and the rock that the cottage was built around was epic! We met Pam the next dae as we were enjoying the hot tub in the sun, after we had been on a balloon aloft adventure in the early morning. A very delightful couple indeed. Pam and Lindsay had provided eggs, butter, sourdough, coffee with plunger, milk, cold water, salt and pepper. My wife and I actually spent Saturdae chilling at the cottage and we couldn't have had a more relaxing time. We also saw a deer early morning! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

There's clear tracks from the Cottage to Sweetmans Creek. I enjoyed all the bird life along the way as well as all the wild flowers dancing the summer breeze.

From Wollombi the Sweetmans Creek, there's lots of rocks, caves and nature to explore on the side of the road. Just be mindful of private property signs friends!

Lunch At The Trading Post
Luguna, a little town so small that if you blinked, you'd miss it! And it's not one you wanna miss my friends! I stopped at the "Trading Post" for lunch as well as tried their home brew! I could have easily settled in for the arvo for a cheeky summer arvo sesh but I decided a take away freshly made juice would be wise. My Liver thanked me.
Finchley Cultural Walk
The Finchley cultural walk is a short 1km return trip packed with local Aboriginal history, cultural information and ancient rock art sites. The trail includes the Finchley Look out offering a view of the Yengo national Park to give perspective of the vast terrain in the Hunter region. There are several walking tracks within the Yengo National Park of varying length and difficulty.
