The Buckland No 5 absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. Perfect getaway for a few days - even though the rain and weather was abhorrent, we still had the most relaxing time. This studio amenity is simply perfect and the big bed is to die for - you won’t want to get out of it!!

The Buckland boasts one of the most stunning views we’ve ever enjoyed from any accommodation. Melany has thoughtfully anticipated every detail to ensure a comfortable and welcoming stay in the studio.... The breakfast hamper was a lovely extra—elegantly presented and full of local flavour. We highly recommend a stay at the Buckland Studios.

Eurobin Falls

Relax with a picnic taking in the sights and sounds of the mesmerizing. In the warmer months, you can have a refreshing dip at Ladies Bath, just 400m from the car park. (1.5km - 45 mins return)

Porepunkah River Walk

Start at Riverside Park and head east along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. Cross at the old Porepunkah Bridge and continue along the track to the suspension bridge crossing the Ovens River. Along the way enjoy the views of the Ovens River while looking out for evidence left behind from the gold mining era. 2.5 km / 45 mins return

Rivers Around Bright

The beautiful Ovens, Buffalo and Buckland Rivers flow in wide valleys of cleared farmland surrounded by mountains. High annual rainfall and granite rocks in the mountains result in fast flowing, clear water rivers and tributaries. Drift along in a lilo, paddle a kayak or just cool off in summer in one of the many beautiful swimming holes.

Canyon Walk

Starting from Howitt Park head towards the Star Road Bridge. The track on the northern bank of the Ovens River has steep steps. Cross either of the suspension bridges to create a short or long loop. This walk takes you past a small canyon carved by the Ovens River and water races dug by early miners. Watch for birdlife and wild flowers especially in spring. 4 km / 1.5 hours return

Mountain Bike Riding In Bright

The MTB trail network at Bright offers a unique mix of riding opportunity for beginner through to expert. The area encompasses everything from flat fire-road to incredibly steep and technical climbs and descents, from novice to expert; you will find a track to challenge you.
