This cabin is roomy, warm and charming.
A little distance away is the toilet and shower which are quirky amenities with running hot and cold water. Delicious on a not so warm day to have a hot shower in natural surroundings. You may not revel in walking to the toilet in the middle of the night however so it's not for everyone.
You may be on the property with other guests or with me or have the whole complex to yourselves. Either way, I love sharing the public spaces and garden with my guests.
Waikino is a historic mining area at the southern end of the gorgeous Karangahake gorge. The walks range from gentle to quite challenging and there are enough of them to suit all levels of fitness.
The town of Waihi is 9kms away and has everything you need. I recommend you have a car. Bikes can be hired if you want to cycle the tracks.
