Additional Information

The Bush Cabin is simple, private, and peaceful with gorgeous bush views, and plenty of birdlife. As the cabin is elevated, access is via a series of approx 30 steps. The outdoor kitchen is basic with a BBQ, and sink. Cutlery and plates are provided. Relax in the hammock, or take a short stroll down to the beach. There is a hot outdoor shower, and flushing toilet. The experience is similar to camping, with the luxury of solar. A 12vt power point is available to recharge devices. The lighting and small fridge run on solar. Enjoy the romantic ambiance of being off the grid.

The property is 7 acres, with a lovely bush track loop.

I'm very relaxed, work a lot, and happy to spend time organising activities, or giving suggestions.

There is solar lighting and the ability to charge with USB or 12 volt.

We had the most perfect stay! Only a 5 minute walk to the beach - lovely outdoor bathroom and kitchen space meant we were out in the bush the whole time.
Access to a kayak and snorkel was also a grea...t addition to our stay - we even had a visit from the cutest puppy which was a treat!
Would stay here again 100%, what a great little space!

I have a genuine passion for people and travel, and have explored many countries. My accommodation has been created to provide a relaxing and peaceful space and environment. I was fortunate to discover Vipassana meditation many years ago, which has helped me to embrace a plant based lifestyle. You'll find complimentary chocolate covered local macadamias on arrival for your enjoyment. We do have 'Pickle' a golden retriever living onsite.

Sunrise At Cathedral Cove

Hugely popular, especially in summer, Cathedral Cove is one of the Coromandel's most iconic locations. We decided to walk here in the dark and were rewarded with a gorgeous sunrise on the rarely empty beach.
Cathedral Cove

Cathedral Cove

Cathedral Cove is best visited by sea, with a boat or kayak and local tour guides who explain the geology, cultural and historical significance of the many scenic sites they explore in Te Whanganui o Hei Marine Reserve. Cathedral Cove is also accessible via several walking tracks adjacent to the reserve.

Naturally heated mineral water bubbles up from deep within the earth to emerge through golden sand at the appropriately named Hot Water Beach.

Dig A Hot Pool At Hot Water Beach

We spent the morning soaking in our own private hot pool at Hot Water Beach. Make sure you check the tide and go one hour on either side of low tide. Walk barefoot on the sand to find a spot where it's hot and start digging!

With its white sand and towering cliffs on either side, Lonely Bay is a stunning spot to relax and go for a swim. If you time it right, you might even get the whole beach to yourself!
