Our place is romantic & relaxing with amazing views. Featuring a cast iron outdoor bath with running hot water, brazier, hammock, large glamping tent with a very comfy bed. Separate kitchen/bathroom deck with full gas oven including running hot water, shower, and flush toilet. Enjoy luxury & comfort & beautiful birdsong! Plenty of local activities worth visiting a masseuse 5 minutes drive away. 2 friends can join & share facilities staying in a gypsy caravan (added extra cost).

Additional Information

There is a large variety of birds on site. Guests love listening to them, in the early morning & evenings and really enjoy the views. They also enjoy a rainy day here as it is quite romantic and you can still see the views and have a bath under the shelter. There are friendly goats right in front of the Glamping on the hillside. Please note we are closed from May until beginning of October due to colder temperatures.

When you reach our Old Coach Oasis sign above 3 letterboxes. The driveway is opposite. Come up the drive and follow the glamping signs towards Graeme & Tracey and the A-frame house where we greet you and show you up to the Glamping spot and how everything works there. NB: you are off the grid for power & wifi but it does get good cell phone reception.

We will answer our mobile phone for any help required. Reception at the glamping site is good and we have a solar charger, no wifi network available there but you can use your own mobile data. We love meeting new people, feel free to ask us any questions or advice about local attractions.

There are beaches within 5 minutes drive. There is a good restaurant 10 minutes drive away at Paengaroa, along with a food & alcohol store, plus Comvita Tourist Centre.
BP Service station is a 5-minute drive from us. Freshwater river swim is 2 minutes down the road also.

You need a car to travel throughout NZ. If you love cycling this is a well- known awesome cycling area you can enjoy right from our gateway so bring your bikes too.

Because we are out of town it is a good idea to come prepared with your food etc as the closest supermarket is 15-20 minutes drive, although there is a service station within 5 mins drive and a local store and alcohol premises 10 minutes drive.

Old Coach Oasis was our first time glamping and we are now hooked! The tent, cabin and outside area were beautifully set up. Tracey and Graeme were so generous with all the little extras they provided... bubble bath and marshmallows. It was our best New Year’s Eve as a couple we decided and we didn’t even get to explore all the benefits of the surroundings. We loved our relaxing stay and we will never go back to regular old camping. I can’t wait to recommend this spot to all my friends and family!

Was a lovely get away in clamping style.. Tracy and Graham have done a lovely job with this space, can tell alot of love and sweat was put into it. Quite and out the way which was perfect for the rest we needed, just lazing around in the sun and chilling with a wine. Thanks Tracy and Graham

We came here for our 7 year anniversary and absolutely loved it! The outdoor bathtub was very romantic. The glamping tent and bed were both cozy and comfortable. The outhouse with the bathroom and kit...chen was nice and super clean. Tracey and Graeme were great hosts. The views are amazing and the place itself is quite private so perfect for couples who want to get away for the weekend. Thanks so much for having us!

We live on an over 30 year certified organic property which grows a wide variety of fruit. We have had WWOOFers (Willing Workers On Organic Farms) stay with us a lot and enjoy hosting them. We have always enjoyed camping and when we saw Glamping we knew we had the spot and could make a good job of it with our unique set of skills. We believe in looking after our environment for future generations so we try to reduce, reuse and recycle where possible without compromising quality. We have been operating for 5 seasons now and have acquired Super Host status. We love the Bay of Plenty where we live and are situated 40-50 minutes drive from three tourist towns, Rotorua, Tauranga/Mt Maunganui and Whakatane. There is so much to do in all of these places from bush walks, waterfalls, beaches, lakes, hot pools and a multitude of tourism activities. Our closest local town is Te Puke - 'the Kiwifruit Capital of the World'!

This perfect river swimming hole was recommended by our hosts, this is a local hidden gem that you don't want to miss on a hot day.

Fishing Walking Swimming

A lovely beach only 5 minutes drive from us. Fish & Chip Shop/Cafe here too. Recommend driving to the end for safe
swimming/surfing by Surf Club or head to the first car park and walk to the right - possible sightings of seals. Quiet beach too.

Brunch At The Trading Post

This little French Bistro set in a quaint historical farm cottage is the perfect spot for brunch with lots of delicious food including vegetarian and vegan options.

This beautiful six-kilometre long beach was the perfect spot for a morning walk to watch the sunrise!
