A beautifully appointed cottage that lives up to its listing. Serene setting and everything you need for a relaxing getaway, at times we felt we’d been swept away to the countryside in France. We love...d being able to cook meals at home, excellent Weber BBQ, kitchen appliances, and basic cooking needs. Lounging by the pool was just what we needed. Also close to great attractions when you have the energy— quick drive to the amazing Muriwai beach, walks, and gannet colony; fantastic wineries less than 15 minutes away, along with Hallertau brewery, and the Beer spot. Highly recommend.

We had a blast here. It's the perfect little slice of paradise, just what we needed. It has a huge pool, a big comfy bed, a fireplace, a jar of marshmallows and a few skewers for smores, an outdoor tu...b, a coffee machine, a bookshelf, a few herbs and spices for our kai, all the bathroom necessities that we needed, and Netflix is installed on the TV so we were able to watch movies in bed every night that we were here. The interior design is also quite aesthetically pleasing. On top of all this, our lovely hosts welcomed us with a bottle of pinot noir and chocolates. A nice added touch that we have never experienced before, at other bed and breakfasts. Highly recommend this place. Thanks Deidre and Grant :)

The Muriwai Deli is set up beneath the old 100-year-old Muriwai Lodge. Run by the talented Double Parked Brothers, they make the best toasted sandwiches you'll ever eat! Hot tip: head out the back to grab a table with a lush view of the bush. Don't leave without trying their cinnamon scrolls and grab a loaf of kumara & rosemary sourdough to enjoy for lunch the next day!
