Wilga Station offers a glorious new level of relaxed luxury just 3 hours from Sydney and Canberra. Just 12 minutes from the historic city of Bathurst and 40 minutes from Orange wine country, this 260-acre working sheep farm has been home to the Keith family for three generations.

The Shearers Hall was the hub of Wilga Station during shearing season. It’s recently been transformed into a luxurious, five bedroom country retreat.

This is the place to come with family and friends. It’s convivial, relaxed and located at the very heart of the farm with wide ranging views over the Fitzgeralds Valley. Don’t be surprised if sheep graze right past your window.

The Shearers Hall allows you to enjoy a taste of iconic Australian history with style and sophistication. We’ve kept the sheep shutes (under glass) and the old wool table now holds pride of place in the entertaining area.

It includes a complimentary hot breakfast hamper which includes eggs from Wilga Station.

The Sheep Strail

Taking a walk down the Sheep Trail on the property at Wilga Station is an absolute must. This leads from the Shearers Hall down to a stunning BBQ area at Wilga Creek, so be sure to pack some sturdy walking shoes and a bottle of wine (swimmers for the more daring) and enjoy some of the most pristine natural beauty the area has to offer.

Natural Swimming Pond

Wilga Station's 12 million litre, natural swimming pond is exclusively available to Farm guests. With its pontoon and fountain, it's an easy 150m stroll from the Shearers Hall & Farmers Hut. The natural ecosystem is teeming with life, including Australian bass (for catch and release fishing!).

Farm Tours

Hamish Keith (owner of Wilga Station) is personally hosting farm tours for guests, to provide a taste of life on a working sheep property.

Farm tours are $145 for a 1.5 hour tour. Simply reach out to Hamish when booking accommodation at Wilga Station to arrange a suitable time.

Kitchen Forage Garden

The 600sqm walled kitchen garden adjoining the Shearers Hall has been created for guests to pick their own fresh produce and cook onsite - and even take away a box of produce home with them! It currently has over 35 different vegetables growing!

Being a natural motorsport enthusiast myself, a trip to Mount Panorama is a must when you're in Bathurst. Both for the scenic views from the top, but also to experience the track from behind your very own wheel (at the legal speed, of course).
