Additional Information

If you are after an unusual and unique hideaway, Jerrapark may be the place for you. This is an ideal getaway for groups gatherings, retreats, workshops, seminars, clinics, etc..
Our train carriages are comprised of 4 cabins, each with 2 “couchette” (small single beds), which can be converted into double beds depending on your needs.

The Train Carriages can therefore accommodate up to 8 persons (or 4 couples). If you wish to book 2 bedrooms only, we'll be happy to hire Jerrapark for half the price. Please, let us know when booking.

A large covered deck shelters a modern and fully equipped open kitchen and tables next to the fireplace. The place has 2 shared showers and 2 shared toilets with all you need for your stay.

On the large deck lives a restful and private daybed with a coffee table for those who like to chill out around a cuppa.

The deck can also host your private party, your workshop or retreat, depending on what you have in mind.

A little further down, a newly finished pavilion is housing a wooden heated plunge pool and sauna, surrounded by lush vegetation, and an inviting open fire pit becomes a convivial place to enjoy a glass of wine and stargaze in the evening with your family and friends.

Jerrapark is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Northern Rivers Caldera, surrounded by the lush nature of the Border Ranges and Mt Warning National Parks. It is an ideal base camp for those who want to discover the Rainbow Region and celebrate a private event

On your arrival, we will welcome you and take you through the functionalities of the place.
Should you need further assistance, we are never too far away.

If you plan a private event and need extra services such as Breakfast/dinner catering, drop off & pick up service or private parties with DJ/Music, lights & fancy dresses, we can arrange this for you for an extra fee providing you tell us what you need in advance.

Jerrapark is just far enough away from towns and cities to feel remote and wild. Some guests have remarked half-joking that as they enter the property it feels a bit more like Jurassic Park. A section of the farm has been preserved as a rainforest…where towering palms and ghost-like eucalypts stand over boulder-strewn creeks that sometimes flood with roaring force. Everywhere there are wallabies, goannas and the weather sentinels…the black cockatoos.

Please, no feeding of the horses.
Be aware there can be Summer fire bans.

I considered not posting this review, but ultimately I think I would have appreciated a warning.

We stayed at this venue as a group of women, and the venue itself is lovely. Unfortunately, our experi...ence with the male owner overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable stay.

While some of our group were using the spa facilities, he made inappropriate comments about their bodies. After that, he was frequently present around the property, which made everyone increasingly uncomfortable.

On the second night, at around 10:45 pm, he parked and left his quad bike running near the guest rooms while several people were asleep. It was extremely noisy, and as he had already been around the property multiple times that day, we politely approached him to ask how much longer he would be there. He became very agitated, started yelling at us, and then grabbed one of our guests by both arms while yelling at us never to come back.

The following day, the female owner apologised. During that conversation, she said she wasn't surprised to hear our concerns because similar issues had occurred previously. She also tried to explain his behaviour by saying that he sometimes didn't understand what was appropriate.

It was a very unpleasant experience that left our group feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this venue to groups of women. The property is isolated, and after what happened, we did not feel comfortable.

Chris and Christine were lovely and their train carriage experience was amazing! We had everthing we needed (including a beautiful complimentary wine) and the bedrooms, bathrooms, etc were clean and c...omfortable. Everything was such good quality and Chris and Christine checked in to make sure everything was ok. The animals on the property provided our young kids with so much happiness and entertainment. The horses were beautiful! To top it off, we had a quick dip in the authentic wood fired hot tub... amazing! We'll certainly be back and hopefully stay for longer next time. Chris and Christine, new owners of JERRA PARK since September 2015, our 2 dogs, Nicko and Desi-Lou, and our 2 horses, Chillie and Gun will be delighted to welcome you in their little haven. JerraPark is a 16 hectare (40 acre) farm, born in 1991 from one man’s dream concept of developing a sustainable living system. Following Bill Mollison and David Holmgren's permaculture design principals and philosophy, and incorporating Rudolf Steiners approach to bio-dynamic farming, Jerra Park’s purpose is to holistically renew the connection with nature and cosmic energy.
