Morrigan Station is located on a 100-acre working farm set high in the hills with an altitude of 950metres. The nearest shops are 40 minutes away so bring what your need to eat
To get to the carriage involves 4km of dirt roads. The road is accessible by 2WD vehicles but low to the ground cars may need to go a bit slower
The carriage in eco friendly and uses solar power. In winter you need the wood fire going to keep it warm ( lots of blankets available) . Wood will be supplied. In Summer you will need to keep doors open to catch a breeze or enjoy the outside until the sun goes down
There are no 240 volt appliances or 240 volt capacity in the train. So no hair dryers toasters electric razors etc. You will be able to charge your devices
There is no TV or Wifi but heaps of books and games to keep you amused. You will get phone reception.
The bedrooms are comfortable with a Queen bed on one end and 2 singles at the other . All linen is supplied
The kitchen is fully equipped with a 12-volt fridge and gas cooking. You will find all the cooking equipment you need as well as tea coffee salt pepper. There will also be a fruit bowl of seasonally fruit grown on the property when available
Inside is a small toilet & shower area. You need to bring your own soaps and shampoo ( we hate those very unsustainable little plastic bottles). Please remember you are on tank water so short showers and
avoidance of unnecessary toilet flushing is appreciated!
Outside is a large deck with amazing views all around. There is a BBQ and lots of options to just sit and relax. You can stargaze, animal watch for the evening procession to the dam of native wildlife and farm animals or read books and enjoy a drink
There is an outside fire pit for winter fun. All you need to go is go and collect your own outside burning wood and have some marshmallows on hand
There is a worm farm under the deck so please feed them with your Non meat based scraps !
We are happy to accept your bottles and cans into the recycling bin . Any money raised is but back into the area for revegetation
Dogs welcome but must stay with you at all times
So unplug unwind and enjoy tranquility.

We had such a lovely stay! It was the perfect getaway for both me and my dogs — they absolutely loved running freely around the farm and exploring all the sights and smells. Mornings were especially m...agical watching sunrise with the cows and sheep wandering nearby. The sky at night was incredibly clear, ideal for stargazing and catching a stunning view of the Milky Way. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, and the little touches like marshmallows and TimTams were much appreciated. We felt right at home and are already planning our next visit. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

We had a really fun stay in this unique old train. It was so well done inside and our hosts, Susan and Craig, left us treats for our arrival. We witnessed the best sunset of our entire lives from the ...balcony. This was a gift from our son. We were able to stay for two nights. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. "How's the serenity?" Heehee!
