Little River Cottage is situated on a private property on a picturesque bend on the mighty Murray River. The Cottage faces onto river and native bushland, and behind is a small working avocado farm operated by owners living on property in residence 200m away
Bush tracks lead to Invincible Bend - a popular sand bar a short walk away. Behind the Cottage sits a 20 acre avocado orchard. Take advantage of access to river tracks for bush walks amidst stunning scenery.
Back at the Cottage, laze on the hammock overlooking the river and unwind with a good book or doze away the afternoon.
If the adventurer in you is raring to go - head out for a spin on the mountain bikes along river tracks, explore the Murray River by kayak or wile away the afternoon fishing the river.
As dusk sets in, light the outdoor fire overlooking the river and relax and unwind with a cold drink while watching the light fade. Make use of the campfire cooking equipment and cook dinner under the stars while a chorus of frogs and crickets serenade you as night falls - this truly is a magical place just waiting to be discovered.

Born and bred in Robinvale in the same block house as my father Barry. My Mother Rhonda is a city slicker from Melbourne, who moved to town at 21 as an art teacher. For the most part, my family has been involved in horticulture in some way shape or form for a long time - like many from around this area - avocados and wine grapes have been the main produce we've cultivated over the years.
I'm a music lover - playing and discovering, art appreciator, and part-time adventurer. I caught the travel bug at an early age and amongst the most memorable times abroad are being on student exchange in Malta and volunteer work in a mountain town - Huaraz, Peru.
With a degree in Recreation Management, I've spent 15 years as an Event Manager in Melbourne and Mildura. These days, I run a guesthouse on the Murray River that allows folk to get back to nature - relax, unwind and refresh. I renovated throughout 2016, then opened, named and graced Little River Cottage in January 2017. I also continue in the family tradition of growing avocados on the family farm.
Starting up my own small business to share this gorgeous piece of Victoria and provide a unique space for people to enjoy the surrounds has been an extremely rewarding experience. I've loved meeting and hosting guests, hearing their stories and helping them discover and explore these beautiful surrounds!…

Bike Riding Bushwalking
Take advantage of the scenic dirt river trails that lead to Invincible Bend, or follow Bonyaricall creek for a more intense bush ride. Always wear appropriate footwear and don't forget to take plenty of water. There are two mountain bikes located in the Cottage shed along with helmets and a bike pump....
River Swimming Picnics
Invincible Bend is a popular swimming sandbar a short ten minute walk on bush tracks through the forest. Pack a picnic and take stroll to this delightful spot where you can relax, eat lunch, and cool off with a swim in the Murray River. Big old river red gum trees line the bank, and are scattered throughout the forest - native wildlife is in abundance including birdlife; eagles, pelicans, ducks, kookaburras, magpies, willy wag tails, parrots, owls to name a few. Echidnas, goannas, kangaroos, lizards and snakes all live within these beautiful surrounds, their tracks, and these animals can often be spotted in the bush....
Kayaking
A five kilometre kayak starting at Safes Lagoon near Koondrook in the adjacent state forest will take about two hours to complete (return). Bring your own canoe or use the Cottage kayaks (they’re old but they work) check water levels and access before you go. Cottage kayaks are free to use but advance notice required....
