Amazing place. Great views. Excellent hospitality. Annika called me couple of days prior to the stay to ask about dietary preferences for breakfast, which was very thoughtful as we are vegetarians and... generally people keep egg and meat in the fridge for breakfast for guests. Two beautiful and friendly dogs/babies greeted us when we arrived, which was a good start to the stay. We watched a game late night and slept at around 6 AM and hence could not check out early morning; She let us check out comfortably which made us feel even more special. All in all loved it.

Annika and her family went absolutely above and beyond during my stay with them at the lovely Red Hill Nest. If anyone is considering staying or visiting this property, I couldn't recommend it more. T...he hosts are lovely, the property is brand new and beautiful - not to mention how close it is to vineyards, Bathurst and beyond to explore and adventure the surroundings. And an added bonus, you have some lovely fluffy visitors (cows) on the other side of the fence to watch, as you have your morning coffee!

Indulge In The Red Hill Nest Locally Curated Charcuterie Board

What better way to end a day than to tuck into the most beautiful locally-curated charcuterie board with matching wine, provided by our phenomenal hosts. Local cheeses, figs, olives, smoked chorizo, home-grown tomatoes and matching wines from Winburndale Winery and Vineyards. We were left full of food and gratitude - highly recommend.
Marshmallows Over the Fire

Marshmallows Over The Fire

What better way to officially switch off from the usual hustle and bustle of city life than to spend the evening under the twinkling stars and curled up by a fit pit to burn marshmallows.

Visit The Bathurst Regional Art Gallery

Being such an enthusiast for art, and the way that an individual's story and passion is patiently curated into their work - had me visiting the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, in the heart of town. It's worth mentioning that the art gallery has had a fairly new and impressive upgrade through renovations and is definitely worth adding to the list.

Coffee At Crema

On our trip to Bathurst, we discovered what the locals have deemed 'the best coffee in town', and they weren't lying. Locals line up in the freezing cold winter just to get a cup of their coffee. Despite being a hole in the wall-styled cafe, there are some seats outside - and when too busy, Machettie Park is across the road.

I found myself coming back here a few times for my usual oat milk mocha. I'd highly recommend this place if you're a coffee enthusiast.

Explore Machettie Park And The Begonia House Fernery

Machettie Park is in the heart of Bathurst, and despite being a country town, this park surprised me. Not only is it full of multiple variations of flowers, and statuesque buildings, but you can also watch the ducks swim in the park's pond.

With an added bonus, within Machettie Park, is the Begonia House Fernery, which houses an array of statues and plants within a magnificent glass greenhouse.

Drive On Mount Panorama

Being a natural motorsport enthusiast myself, a trip to Mount Panorama is a must when you're in Bathurst. Both for the scenic views from the top, but also to experience the track from behind your very own wheel (at the legal speed, of course).
