Location from Sydney
It is approximately 228.9km via Great Western Highway/A32 from Sydney CBD. It is part of the village known as Newbridge which is 3km from the property. It is an easy 30km drive to Bathurst and 50km to Orange with only 15km away from Blayney.
The Property
La Pinata is circa 161 Ha (400 acres) in size. Altitude of approx 900m.
Over half of the land is clear, the land is mostly undulating with some steeper areas. There are 7 paddocks. Stock water is supplied by dams in all paddocks with a permanent Evans Plains Creek that flows through the property which is a wonderful spot for bushwalking. There is also a bore that provides water to our water tanks.
The Property also offers a pine forest, which is cooling on hot summer days, and in the colder months, it is a winter wonderland adventure. A perfect part of the property to do many things: picnicking in the wild whilst collecting pinecones, wildflowers or simply admiring the majestic views of the Fitzgerald Valley and the Blue Mountains over a glass of local wine and cheese.
The Barn Style Cabin
La Pinata, for a unique glamping experience, offers a barn style cabin dwelling with all the comforts of a home but with a rustic cabin experience.
A majority of the barn style cabin and its amenities have been built from recycled material, this includes the furniture which is mostly recycled or pre-loved. We are also using off the grid electricity and water supply.
It has 7 sleeping rooms with 1 ensuite and 2 Bathrooms. One of the 7 sleeping rooms has a cot.
It has a well-equipped open Kitchen with 5 pit stove, oven, blender, and toaster.
The open living area has 3 spaces to enjoy:
• 8–10-seater dining area
• 3-piece lounge area (TV, with Netflix and Foxtel)
• A study/reading Nook area
• Another area just off the kitchen is a lovely space where you can read or relax. We have also provided a dart board and other board games for those competitive nights of fun!
Outdoor spaces:
The outside spaces of the barn style cabin have various areas where you can either sit/relax/meditate and enjoy the view or have your meals while watching the scenery change as the day turns from morning to evening – a living moving work of art! Also, of an evening the outdoor spaces of the barn style cabin are perfect spots to ‘star gaze’. On a clear night, the evening sky at La Pinata is beautiful to see, it never disappoints and always guarantees a spectacular blanket of stars to enjoy!
Pricing
Please note the pricing of $360.00 per night is for up to 6 people per night. Any additional guests will be at an additional fee of $55.00 per night. Maximum preferred numbers 14, however, if the group is larger you must communicate with host to see if the request can be accommodated. We note children 5 years and under are free!
Paint classes during your stay
La Pinata is excited to offer Pinot & Picasso! A paint and wine experience for groups of 8 to 12 guests.
In collaboration with Pinot & Picasso Orange - an amazing way to enjoy the afternoon sunset at La Pinata, enjoy your wine whilst you are guided by an experienced artist, your masterpiece is waiting to happen. The Pinot & Picasso expert host will guide your group with comprehensive step by step instruction. Everything you need to create your masterpiece will be included. Send enquiries to host for further details. Please note 4 weeks' notice is required to coordinate.
Other things to note.
We will provide a wheelbarrow of wood so that you can get the fireplace and wood fire oven started. However, for the winter period (May to end of August) instead of the wheelbarrow of wood we provide a box of wood to help cover the pizza wood oven and fireplace. Alternatively, you can purchase your own wood prior to arriving to the property.
Once the first box of wood is consumed if you wish to purchase the wood we can sell it to you.
