With stunning mountain views, kangaroos grazing at your doorstep and a roaring open log fire, the Stone Cottage creates a space to step back from the hectic pace of modern life.

The cottage offers you 60 acres of beautiful native bushland as your own secluded getaway. A place to unwind and reconnect with life’s simple pleasures, exquisite sunrises, glorious sunsets and some well-earned downtime all set at the foot of the Grampians National Park.

As you enter this cottage you can feel the sense of history derived from all salvaged and saved building materials such as the leadlight windows from an old homestead and restored to feature either side of the fireplace.

Even the dining table and chairs originate from a Methodist Church built in 1865, and the main pole supporting the loft was saved from the Seppelts Winery, Great Western.

COTTAGE DETAILS
The Stone Cottage is tucked away at the end of the property, leaving you with a private retreat and has a large loft bedroom creating more space for you to relax or bring friends and family to stay.

Fire Wood Policy
We supply one wheelbarrow of wood per day to each cottage.
If you require extra wood during your stay it can be purchased at $15 per wheelbarrow.
We do not operate the fireplaces during the fire season (December, January & February) or on Extreme Fire Days

The Cottages are next door to the Halls Gap Zoo and near to Fallen Giants Winery. The Grampians National Park is an area of outstanding natural beauty with many walk tracks and waterfalls to visit whilst based here at the cottages. Halls Gap the town has a number of restaurants and shops to service your needs.

We loved the place it was so comfortable and cosy .. we enjoyed alot, specially the barbecue area was very nicely decorated and everyone loved the inside fire pit as well.. we will shurely recommend this place to our friends.

Had a great weekend - cosy fire at night and beautiful sunshine during the day. Our grandchildren loved the kangaroos, emus and Halls Gap Zoo on our doorstep.

We had such a great stay at Stone cottage. The cottage itself was lovely and very clean and practical. The setting of the cottage was amazing with beautiful views across to the hills and in the foregr...ound beautiful grassy areas filled with wildlife. We spotted the giraffes at the Halls Gap zoo next door through the fence. We also heard the beautiful calls of the dingoes. As a price to relax and unwind, it ticked absolutely every box for us. We took the opportunity to do some walks to the scenic Lookout in the area and were rewarded every time with beautiful views and waterfalls. A truly incredible and relaxing experience we will definitely return For another visit.

In spring you are likely to see native wildflowers and birds in the stringy bark forest. Enjoy the beautiful views of Victoria Valley and the surrounding ranges.

Mackenzie Falls

Mackenzie Falls is one of Victoria's largest waterfalls and flows all year. It’s an easy walk to an observation platform or you can take a more energetic route down the stairs for a closer look at the cascading Mackenzie Falls. Follow the stepping-stones to the other side for a closer view of the impressive falls. Keep following the track along the river to discover smaller waterfalls and beautiful wildflowers in spring.
