Chico Bay Inn: King Luxury Garden Suite with Beach Access, Kayaks & Hot Tub

GARDEN SUITE LUXURY AMENITIES INCLUDE:

• Echo Dot clock that can set alarms and timers, play sleep sounds or your favorite music, and control the TV, thermostats, and microwave through Alexa voice commands;
• High-speed wireless internet;
• Outdoor hot tub; and
• Two recreational sit-in kayaks, two paddles, and life vests for all sizes.

The Garden Patio and Spa Patio are exclusively for guests of the Garden Suite to use and feature a gas grill, outdoor table, chairs, umbrella, and hot tub.

At the bottom of the beach, stairs is a bulkhead separated into two different lounge areas each with their own fire pit. The first lounge area features Adirondack chairs and is perfect for taking in the views and having great conversations while enjoying a campfire; the second lounge area is equipped with a vineyard style table and chair set to enjoy your meals and have a campfire.

Many beaches in the Pacific Northwest are devoid of sand and full of barnacle-covered rocks. Ours is no exception… for the first 20 feet. Then, at low tide after the first 20 feet, the beach is quite muddy. Bring your mud boots for full exploration of local shellfish habitats and long quiet walks during low tides. A walk along the beach at low tide, while being quite muddy, can be a magical experience as you see tiny crabs scurrying to hide behind oysters and clams squirting water out of the mud like the Bellagio fountains.

GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have access to the Garden Suite, the Garden Patio, the Spa Patio, and the Bulkhead and Beach. The Garden Suite is in the same building as the other units; however, it is a completely separate apartment with its own entry.

Chico Bay Inn has a parking lot; Garden Suite guests are allowed one parking spot (a second parking spot can be made available upon request).

Private areas: The owners live in the apartment on the main floor adjacent to the Garden Suite. Long-term renters currently rent the entire Penthouse floor of the Inn which encompasses the Eagle View and Bay View rooms.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Like most homes in the Pacific Northwest, we do not have AC. Don't worry, if there is warm weather during your stay, keep all of the windows closed during the day and open a window or two at night. The house is very well insulated, so it will remain nice and cool. We also have a fan in the suite for your use.

Even though the Garden Suite has been heavily soundproofed from other units in the building, you may still hear sounds from other spaces.

We also want to disclose that we have exterior video cameras on the property that actively record outside of the house.

HOUSE RULES & AGREEMENT:
By confirming a reservation, guests agree that they understand and will abide by all house rules, booking policies as stated on the booking site platform and other terms of this agreement and agree to pay all fees and charges as a result of failing to follow these rules or policies. Before or during the stay, if the host learns that rules or policies are being disobeyed, the host reserves the right to protect themselves and the property by any means necessary, including but not limited to canceling the guest’s reservation with no refund and/or removing guest access to the Garden Suite.

House Rules
1. Please enjoy your stay while treating our place with the same respect that you would a good friend’s place.
2. Out of respect for your neighbors, please keep to the following quiet hours: 10 pm – 8 am.
3. Pets are not allowed on the property.
4. No parties, no events, and no outside visitors or overnight guests that are not stated on your reservation unless you receive prior approval from Tyler and Chanda. With approval, additional guests not included on the reservation will need to individually show ID, sign a liability waiver, and pay a $45 per person fee. This will allow additional guests to join registered guests on the property during non-quiet hours (8 am-10 pm) only. Additional guests may not use the hot tub/spa or kayaks. A violation of this policy will result in charging your security deposit in full and any costs associated with affecting the next guests.
5. Maximum occupancy of the spa is 2 people, and children under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the spa.
6. Follow the posted rules for spa use: not showering prior to use of the Spa, contaminating the water, and/or misusing the spa in any way which would require it to be drained may result in a charge of $150.
7. This is a non-smoking property. Absolutely no smoking is allowed inside of the building or anywhere on the property. A violation of this policy will result in charging your security deposit in full and any costs associated with affecting the next guests.
8. Please no shoes on the bedside rugs.
9. Please let us know if something gets damaged during your visit.
10. Check-out is at 11:00 am. Please be out of the house before 11:00 am on the day of your check-out, so our cleaner has time to turn over the house for the next guests. If guests have not checked out and left the property (person, vehicle, belongings, etc.) by 12 pm noon, guests will be charged $50 unless they have received prior approval from Tyler or Chanda. If guests still have not left the property (person, vehicle, belongings, etc.) by 1pm, an additional $200 will be charged and any costs associated with affecting the next guests.
11. If the property is left damaged or dirty beyond normal wear and tear, hosts reserve the right to seek reimbursement for every extra hour of cleaning required and/or any costs for replacement and/or recovery.
12. Do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property.

Spa Rules
1. Shower with your swimsuit on immediately before using the spa
2. Please wear bathing suits out of respect for others on the property and our neighbors
3. Place spa cover on the deck on the north side of the spa (leaning against the laurel) and try to
keep the inside of the cover clean from dirt/leaves
4. No bodily fluids contaminating the water and no sex in the spa
5. No glass or food near the spa
6. Attach the spa cover after each use
7. Please shower after using the spa

Spa Use Warnings
Reduce the Risk of Drowning, Injury, Overheating, and Electrocution:
1. Always enter and exit the spa and spa area slowly and cautiously; Wet surfaces are slippery.
2. Supervise children at all times while on the property.
3. Check with a doctor before use if pregnant, diabetic, in poor health, or under medical care.
4. Exit immediately if uncomfortable, dizzy, or sleepy. Spa heat can cause hyperthermia and
unconsciousness with the possibility of drowning.
5. Spa heat in conjunction with alcohol, drugs, or medication can cause unconsciousness with the
possibility of drowning.
6. Avoid swallowing spa water.
7. Using the spa more than 15 minutes at a time may be harmful to your health.
8. Never place an electric appliance within 5 feet of the spa.

Safety and Liability
1. If you notice anything that presents a danger that could result in damage to the location or to any individuals, let us know immediately.
2. Guests understand that there are video cameras on the outside of the property that actively record activity outside of the building.
3. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises and amenities. Guests recognize that they may personally purchase insurance to protect themselves in such events.

Waiver, Release and Hold Harmless Agreement
By accepting the reservation, in consideration of Tyler and Chanda Chen, Chico Bay Inn, and The Cedar Plank providing the services described below, I (together with my guardian, if I am under a legal disability) represent, covenant and agree, on behalf of myself and my heirs, assigns, and any other person claiming by, under or through me, as follows:
1. I acknowledge that I am receiving the following services:
a. lodging with indoor access to full kitchen including pantry and fridge consumables,
bathroom, and studio space for sleeping, relaxing, and spending time, and a gas grill
for outdoor cooking;
b. outdoor access to a private beachfront property that has a steep cliff and stairway
to bulkhead, a concrete bulkhead (with no railing) with fire pit (s), slippery logs and difficult beach access, hot tub/spa and Puget Sound water access with no lifeguards, games and walks on uneven terrain, garden with potential consumables, slippery spa deck, kayaks, etc.;
c. parking for vehicles.
2. I waive all claims against Tyler and Chanda Chen, Chico Bay Inn, and The Cedar Plank for any
injuries, damages, losses or claims, whether known and unknown, which arise during or result from the services I receive, regardless of whether or not caused in whole or part by the negligence or other fault of the Released Party. I release and forever discharge the Released Party from all such claims.
3. I agree to indemnify and hold the Released Party harmless from all losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys' fees and other litigation costs and expenses) incurred by the Released Party as a result of any claims or suits that I (or anyone claiming by, under or through me) may bring against the Released Party to recover any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, or expenses which arise during or result from the services provided, regardless of whether or not caused in whole or part by the negligence or other fault of the Released Party.

I have carefully read and reviewed this Rental Agreement and Waiver, Release and Hold Harmless Agreement. I understand them fully and I execute them voluntarily.
